A hidden gem
What a beautiful little slice of heaven for a quick getaway from the city life.
20 acres of sheer beauty and adventure.
We had an amazing time wandering about identifying plants and fungi.
Brad was a wonderfully kind and attentive host.
He made sure to check in with us to make sure everything was okay periodically and even brought firewood directly to our site.
The sauna wasn't working this time around so we're definitely going to have to book another trip to enjoy that next time.
It was a wonderful way for us to decompress regardless, we look forward to our next trip out!
Brad was very informative and helpful with points of interest in the area. It’s a nice location, very green. It looks like a nice place to hang out. We had rain so we didn’t get to do that.
Brad was an amazing and thoughtful host. He took the time to show us around upon arrival and encouraged us to explore the property, which was extensive and beautiful. Being just a 40 minute drive from Portland my wife and I will DEFINITELY be back to stay at Cedar Root again.
A stunning forest celebration
We loved staying at Cedar Root! It was conveniently located to Portland, and a 15 minute drive to Milo McIver State Park that we visited to escape the afternoon heat.
My group rented out 2 sites to celebrate a Jewish Holiday and Brad was more than accommodating to help us make our event special. We utilized all pieces of the beautiful property by spending lots of time in the meadow, taking short forest walks, and enjoying the calm atmosphere. Brad was helpful, responsive, and checked in on us throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. Hope everyone can enjoy their stay as much as we did!
Pleasant & relaxing
Had a lovely time staying here. We rented sites 2, 3, and 4. Site 2 was pleasant and relaxing. Sites 3 and 4 are set down a hill and in a forested clearing. 3 is in front of a pond, and 4 is in a low nook. They both are very pretty. They're in sight of each other. We set up a table in 4 and played board games for the evening with string lights up, and it was very wooded and pleasant. Would recommend.
The camp was very well kept, plenty of room to wander around and relax, and had a perfect setting for watching the sun set! From the meadow, to the forest, it was an amazing stay!
