The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating! Their farm is absolutely lovely and looks out over a valley with pristine sunset views. We felt very safe and well-looked after, and enjoyed walking along the property, including visiting with the goats and seeing the deer traipse through their burgeoning orchard.
My partner ordered soda bread and raved about it. Bella the cat was a frequent and darling guest.
Be advised this is a neighborhood, and while there was plenty of room to spread out in the yard, I would not say our site was "private" from the other guests and hosts' neighbors.
Thank you for everything!
What a spot!
We loved camping here! We rocked up on a bike trip and this was the loveliest spot. Bella the kitty cat was our constant companion around the property, and the warm biscuits in the morning were absolutely fabulous!
Staying at Almosta Farms is a fantastic experience. The views of both the mountains and valley are amazing. You can buy some of their goods like eggs, jelly, and bread. Your tent site is tucked away near the barn. Keep in mind that the toilet provided is a composting toilet, but if you’re used to put toilets from campgrounds it’s an upgrade.
Janet was really amazing at communication as well as hospitality. I felt really comfortable on the property because Janet's description was accurate in her land & amenities. Really good energy on property with super friendly animals everywhere. Enjoyable views. Was able to take a nice walk on property, snuggle with goats. Janet is very accommodating.
Peaceful and relaxing
A beautiful farm! My first stay with Hipcamp was so comfortable and enjoyable. Much quieter and more peaceful than public campgrounds! The night sky was brilliant with stars and the Milky Way. Jan met my pup and I as we arrived to show us around. Very friendly and welcoming. I ordered her zucchini bread for breakfast and intended to save half for the next day. It was so good, I ate it all! (Mini loaf size, not full loaf. I'm not crazy, haha). The animals were awesome to see as well. Great stay!
What a great stay! I've been traveling across the country for the last month and must say that this was a great value and a great stay. Not as secluded, if that's what you are looking for.
I didn't get to explore the vicinity but this place has a lot to offer (for single travelers and families). The road to the site is great, and easy to navigate.
The porter potty was CLEAN.
I had great reception the whole time.
The table, water, and level surface was all and more than what I needed for the night.
Janet was WONDERFUL and super accommodating with my schedule.
I highly recommend this place.
