Typical agricultural operations (haymaking; row cropping activities; maple sugaring, repairs/maintenance) are ongoing, seasonally, as the weather permits.
When we accept your booking request, we block out your dates for all the other Listings. so you can have the entire property to yourself, after check-in. That's what makes our Listings so special. What my wife Marilyn and I are offering is the ability to experience our farm as we do, almost like you own the place. That's why it maybe a little on the high-end of the price range of listings, but we think you'll agree it's worth it.
Heritage Lake Farm features Heritage Lake, of course, a 2-acre spring-fed lake in the headwaters of Ohio's Grand River. Heritage Lake offers fishing, a swimming platform with a diving board, a diving board, a trapeze swing, an oversized inner tube float and a rowboat.
FarmStay - Cabin2 is for the Orange Lakeside sleeping cabin approximately 550' north of the Host's main cabin in the woods alongside Heritage Lake. It is 256 square feet.
Tent Camping can be separately booked at FarmStay - Tent @HeritageLakeFarm and is allowed most anywhere on the farm as long as it will not interfere with seasonal agricultural operations.
Your RV, motorhome or self-contained trailer can also be separately booked at FarmStay - RV @HeritageLakeFarm, for hookup to water, electric and sewer on property.
Included with your Tent Camping or Sleeping Cabin booking, is private access to a full bathroom, kitchen and laundry facilities in the basement of the Host's main cabin. There you'll also find a table, chairs, and a ping pong table, along with horseshoes and fishing poles.
Heritage Lake Farm has abundant wildlife and offers excellent opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, and foraging.
