Wild Mountain Way is a bit of a conundrum. It's close to civilisation, but far from it. I found this little spot about four years ago and have been trying to tread gently, while making a nest in these stunning mountains. While some provisions are a given... Firewood, Spring Water, WiFi, Power for phone charging etc. You are still in a 5000 acre bowl and I have the last property in the holler. It is Quiet up here. There are 3 pitches, MOST require AWD/4WD. All of the sites are about 300' from one another... it's a moderately steep but brisk hike. Fireside is the most social spot as it has the view and a big firepit with log slab seating and festoon lamps depending on the weather... All power up here is off grid. There is an occupied airstream about 100 feet away, but the chap in there is very quiet and cival. You are welcome to free camp anywhere on the land if you'd like more seclusion. Creakside is tucked away in a sheltered ravine with a foot bridge leading the way to a private nook. Nearside is well... Near! It's the best option if you have a 2WD car. It's near to the parking, but also near (100'+) to the cabin I'm building. There is no construction noise when guests are here. If you don't have an off road vehicle and let me know when you think you'll arrive, I'll do my best to be here and load anything heavy into my farm truck or quad bike... We can get you settled into any of the spots pretty easily and there are usually folk here, on site should you need any support day or night.

Great! Henry's dog Wolfe was an incredible host. Ended up staying Creekside very private and cozy.

Very great, host is awesome and provided us with locations to grab firewood. The hosts dog hung out with us the whole time and was an excellent companion, even staying outside the tent and warding off critter's. We stayed at fireside which is a pretty tough drive and hike up the mountain but the view was worth it. 10/10 would recommend.

Everything was gr8....first time solo tent camping and felt very safe and comfortable. Henry's dog was gr8 company and good protector.

Henry’s place was gorgeous! The place was clean and the spot was perfect for our tent and hammock. Henry was very friendly and swift to communicate and answer questions after we arrived on site a bit later than expected. All around a great place to be.

Relaxing campsite!

Wonderful campsite! The site itself was a bit of a hike from our car but it ended up not being too bad. Make sure you closely follow Henry’s instructions to get to the correct campsite, it was dark and rainy when I arrived so we had some difficulty locating our site at first. The host was very helpful and quick to respond in all our communications.

Great experience on Henry’s land. Cute space and Henry checked up on us multiple times to make sure everything was going well. Best part had to be Henry’s dog, Max, who kept us company our entire stay and made sure our campsite was bear-free!
