Exactly what we were looking for!
Our son is a student at Western and this time we came with my parents and their RV instead of staying at a hotel. This was the best decision! Less than 3 miles from campus and the site was great. To have all the hookups for the price made it even better! If the goal is convenience, privacy (since only 5 spots total), and within driving distance to so many trails, etc, this is an excellent option. Finally, I read a review about the tall grass and no fire ring and both were taken care of this time. The weather was pretty gloomy while we were here, but we still enjoyed a fire one evening with dinner outside on the picnic table. The creek also made for some nice ambiance as well!

The Tuck!
Full hookups are the best. Gurgling River is pretty awesome too. Excellent proximity to campus, but GO APP STATE! 😁

Great location! So close to Cullowhee & Sylva. Water & power & sewerage all worked fine. Got to fish on the Tuck right behind the sites. Lots of amazing hikes in the area. Highly recommend for those that don't want the big, crowded, noisy campgrounds!

We loved our stay at the Tuck. We enjoyed the view and the fact that it was so private, compared to other big campgrounds.
The ONLY suggestion I have is to let it be known that it’s right on the road…even though it’s a pretty quiet road, we would’ve made sure we had a lock for our camper, had we known.

This is my third stay. It only gets better every time. This time i sat in the river and enjoyed the mountain water. I’m looking forward to my next stay.

Camp "The Tuck" Riverfront RV Sites
This spot has great potential. Though, at the time we visited the grass was completely overgrown around the camping spots leaving us confined to our stone parking spot. The listing said fires were okay, so we brought a number of items to cook over the fire, however there were no fire rings. Also, note that if you would like to access the river, it not accessible from the camping spots. We were able to access it by climbing down a sleep weedy slope behind the building on the property.
