Site 2 - Loafers Joy Rustic Campsites
Beautiful Views, Secluded Campsite
This is a beautiful site with amazing sunset views of the mountains. It sits on a nice property, up the hill from an old barn. It has everything I'd want in a camp, with seclusion, peace and quite, and a stream nearby. It's quite lovely.
The only downside is that the campsites are straight uphill from the barn (where you park). I wasn't anticipating that, although the description said it was a walk from the car, I didn't know it was uphill. I'm in my 60's and it took a lot out of me to walk up and down the hill to get all my gear (about 3 trips). The portajohn is also at the botton, next to the barn. It would have been easier if a wagon was provided, or better description in the write-up about the hill. (I had been hiking all day and I just didn't plan on more climbing at the end of it.)

Great for RV—Quiet and peaceful
We stayed here in a campervan but it would be more suited to a self-contained unit as the porta-potty is a bit of a walk up a hill. Easy to find and just drove in and parked on cement pad. Easy to maneuver. Electric is available for an extra fee paid online.

This was a good location outside of Boone. The RV pad did have a huge puddle of water, and some trash in it when we arrived. The host responded to our question about water, but not for about 12 hours. It was a perfectly fine experience overall. And the sunset view was gorgeous.

We had a great time at this site! Absolutely stunning views, great stargazing, and the host is super nice. I really could not recommend this place enough. The only thing I’ll note is that if you have any mobility issues this probably isn’t the site for you, there’s a good little hill to climb from the parking area.

Central to area attractions.
This site provides a great view of the mountains, is very quiet, and is easily accessible. We have a 28' travel trailer and were able to pull thru to set up camp on a level concrete pad, with a picnic table and a firepit. The electric hookup was easy to access, but there's no potable water or sewer hookup, so you need to be self-contained, as we were. Michael was a great host! He checked on us each day to see if we needed anything. Based here, we were central to many of the area's attractions, wineries, and commercial areas to visit. We would recommend this HipCamp to anyone.
