The site is only 5 miles from Chimney Rock and Lake Lure, 20 miles to Asheville and 15 miles to Black Mountain.
Please note this is a mountainous area. Power lines are not buried. Therefore, outages may happen, due to fallen trees, particularly during severe weather. Such outages usually do not last more than a few hours but may be prolonged if severe damage occurs due to storms.

This was a nice little private spot in a convenient location for our North Carolina tour! As others have mentioned, the driveway/road up is a bit steep with gravel, but we made it up in our 20’ FWD camper van just fine. It was a great, easy stay.
We loved our stay even though it was just a brief 1 night. The site was clean, private, and quiet!
The location just a short drive to the Chimney Rock Village and the state park were excellent what we were looking for.
Our host was extremely responsive and I would absolutely come back and recommend this camp to friends.
Secluded camp with all the amenities! Enjoyed sitting by the fire at night with the pups! Full camper hookups (water, electric, and sewer) and very pet friendly. Great area between Black Mountain and Chimney Rock NC, and only about 40 minutes from Asheville. Lots of hiking trails and great restaurants/ breweries in Chimney Rock. Wonderful campsite in a great area!

Great clean level space very easy to park the trailer. Perfect private place to stay and explore the surrounding area like chimney rock, Lake lure and more. driveway little bit steep at beginning but manageable. ( don’t forget your Hipcamp in the mountain! ). convenient water- power -sewer hook up. Host respond quick to additional questions. prescription to find the property very clear.

We used Ebbie’s Hideaway as a home base for family Thanksgiving festivities on Lake Lure, and it was great. We were nervous about the driveway, but had no issues pulling a 32’ travel trailer with a 4WD Yukon, up or down - just take it slow. Once you’re up the hill, there’s plenty of room to maneuver around, and all hookups were great. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we’re in the area.
The drive from the road is STEEP! Our Silverado 1500 handled our trailer and the terrain well but id make sure you havw a little overhead on your vehicle capability. However this has been our favorite site yet!
We LOVED our stay here. Very private and quiet with all the amenities of a campground with full hookup and even pull through!
Bring a heater or make sure your heater works bc it is chilly here now that its fall.
Hookups/location is great. Hard to get in/out. We had a 28’ travel trailer. Smaller would be fine.
