We had a great time staying at site one. It was very easy to find, with clear directions given. The site has a lot of privacy and plenty of space for the five adults and dog in our group, and the outhouse was very convenient.
Free air and fireflies
Sarah's land was gorgeous. The site was quirky and fun and our group had a great time making a fire and enjoying a nice meal and conversation. When the sun went down the woods in the area were full of fireflies. It was mesmerizing. The bathroom is a pit toilet outhouse, so be ready for that, but it was well stocked and clean.
Field of dreams
We had a wonderful time Wallkill River Tenting. The property was beautiful and the hosts were super friendly and very accommodating.
When I mentioned that I had some charcoal with me, Paul, one of the hosts, brought a charcoal grill over to our site. After that, we were left on our own and I felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. At the time we camped, there was also a yurt tent site with another couple but they were pretty far away. The outhouse was very clean and the picnic table at our site seemed to be brand new. Overall, the property was very well maintained. I would defiantly camp there again. :-)
This place is AWESOME! Super cool ambience. But even more than that the host wasn’t hounding us. It was very much, checkin when you need to, check out when you need to. Couldn’t be happier!
We LOVED our stay here. We had a great time just relaxing and being outdoors. Really appreciated that there was an outhouse with a night light, firepit, swingset and picnic tables. We could tell the owners really cared about our stay with all the thoughtful touches.
We were tented up at the top so we could hear cars drive every so often, but it still felt really remote and peaceful to be there. I'm really looking forward to coming back and pitching our tents by the river next spring.
Thank you Sarah! We felt so welcomed. And it was so wonderful to meet your dad too who made us a campfire ahead of time because we were coming in late at night due to heavy traffic. :)
