Located in the Grose Valley there are some challenging walking trails adjacent to the camp grounds, including Grose head south look out. Just a 10 minute drive to Richmond, a town located beside the Hawkesbury-Nepean River, it is an interesting combination of modern outer suburbia with a significant number of important historic buildings dating from the 1810s and 1820s.
Maximum of 2 cars per booking, extra cars/ vehicles are charged at $40/night per vehicle. Alternatively you can book 2 sites and we will make sure your group is together. This is to help minimise our impact on the environment and ensure all of our guests have the best experience possible.

Fantastic camp-site, spacious, pre-existing fire pits, firewood available (logs will require chopping to size), well maintained flushable toilets, river easily accessible. Would definitely return to camp again!
We loved our stay here. Such an escape so close to the city. Facilities were in great condition. If it's wet conditions i'd be cautious going in anything that isn't all wheel or four wheel drive as it's a decent incline on a non sealed road and the front wheel drive SUVs would struggle.
Definitely, we will come back. the public toilet is an A+, free of wood and nature is gorgeous. My dog enjoyed the river and massive open space!!!

Toilet facilities are well maintained and clean.
Kids kayaks available for hire.
Sedans/2WD cars may find it difficult to access the grounds after entering the property.

Lovely place to camp. It had beautiful surroundings, close by , Mark the care taker was super welcoming and friendly and overall our kids and friends with their kids had a blast.
We loved camping at Jila Camp Grounds! Basic but beautiful Australian bush land with lot's of space even tho - as you expect - a lot of people on an Easter Weekend around.
Our cats loved to explore the grounds as well and enjoyed the stay 😆😆
