Lisa is friendly and communicates clearly and promptly. Her property is perfect for camping. There is a fireplace and plenty of space to setup. You feel like you're in the middle of the bust. It's a great site. She has two friendly dogs that would come and go from our campsite. I would highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a great camping experience.

It is very peaceful and calming staying here with bush all around.
Campsites are organised to give privacy by being cleared areas in the bush or you can be in the main cleared areas.
Host very helpful , obliging and welcoming.
Creature comforts are basic , but adequate if you choose to avail yourself of them.
I am finding it very enjoyable and relaxing to stay here.

Great little camp spot. Close to newcastle but got the feeling of being out in the country. Cool dog that came and hung out with us too. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Would def recommend.

The location is great and nice and rural. The shower and toilet is very poor and the shower area is dangerous.

Response from Lisa, the Host, on July 17th, 2021

Hi Andrew, I just saw your review. I'm sorry you found the price expensive. As you didn't pay for one of your children it was only worked out as $8.40 each a night. If you had let me know I would have happily directed you to the free camp up the road in the State Forest. I understand the toilet and shower aren't flash-looking by any stretch of the imagination but they are not dangerous. Again if you had let me know I would have been happy to help you and sort out what you felt was dangerous, as you stayed for a week and didn't mention anything it can't have been that bad. I hope you find the rest of your Hipcamp experiences meet your standards.

Bunyips's is lovely.
Beautiful property. Quiet (no noisy motorbikes like in the State Forest / National Park).
Facilities are very basic, but useable.
Owners were excellent. Very accommodating and friendly.
And an added bonus was their two adorable dogs that just roamed around. Super friendly!

Would recommend!
