Blessing & great camping experience
Where do I start. Camping at Sugar Hill was one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. The land is rich and sacred and a blessing to be able to stay on. Kevin is a fantastic host and person who I’m grateful to have met. We had great conversation around the fire and it felt like community. I can’t wait to go back and stay longer next time.
This was a maiden voyage with our campervan & 2 dogs. It couldn't have been a better experience. Kevin was so kind & open with us. His land was a beautiful spot to be. Elk bugled throughout the night & the milky way was quite visible. Kevin was kind enough to introduce us to his daughter & we also met his sweet mother. It was really wonderful to share experiences & life stories with Kevin. We can only hope our future Hipcamp experiences are as wonderful as it was to be with Kevin on his land. Thank you Kevin & Ladybug for making us feel so welcome!
Wow!! What an amazing stay! Had a wonderful time with my husband and dogs in our 35 ft RV. Kevin was a fantastic host who gave us great advice on places to go and eat. Will definitely stay again when we are in the area. Thanks a million Tido!!
Camping in the mountains
Camped next to Kevin’s place. He is enhancing some foot paths near his site. A little nervous about bears in the area but Kevin’s two shepherds were there to bark bears away so helped feel safe. Sweet big babies.
Beautiful land, wonderful host
Sometimes you stay at a nice Hipcamp and never meet the owner, which is fine. But at Sugarhill Woodworks, meeting Kevin was a highlight. His place is lovely, abutting a forested canyon where we walked our dog. Kevin is a very warm host who enjoys sharing his land and his culture, and we really appreciated his hospitality. We’d definitely return if we are ever in his area. A great stay.
Kevin is a warm and welcoming person and he lets you decide how much interaction you want. The site is quiet and windy. It’s gorgeous and both Roswell and Alamagordo are easy to reach from there. Also, it’s not hard to find his place. I thought it was great.
