The land is covered in juniper, piñon, and ponderosa pine, and various cactus plants. The mountain wildlife campers enjoy seeing during various times of the year include curious broad-winged hummingbirds, shy cottontail rabbits, skittish lizards, grey foxand more.

The Santa Fe Treehouse Camp is perfect for tent camping, enjoying your cozy bed in your van or truck or sleeping out under the stars. The campsites are primitive...most do NOT have campfire pits or picnic tables though amenities included with your reservation are all-hours access to the outdoor kitchen with a community fridge, stove, microwave, propane grill, blender, coffee makers, plates, bowls, cooking and eating utensils and a dining area. Also available is the bath house with flush toilets, sinks, and showers.

Additionally, there a several rustic treehouse structures on the property as part of the legacy of this 30+ year old summer camp. (See separate Treehouse Cabin and Sunrise listings).

We host families searching for a nostalgic, unplugged getaway, friends and/or couples seeking a natural refuge from the daily grind, as well as solo campers looking for peace and quiet and a clear view of the celestial grandeur of the sun’s cycle or the brilliant show of stars in the night sky.

The camp is located about 20 minutes from Museum Hill, 25 minutes from Meow Wolf, Old Town Santa Fe Plaza and just 15 minutes to delicious food at Harry's Roadhouse or Cafe Fina.  Tree House Camp includes 160 acres of land bordering the US Forest Service area. There are beautiful views and easy access to Shaggy Peak, the  southernmost tip of the Rocky Mountains and the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. Wander our land to enjoy a 20 minute hike to a creek (in wet weather) in the forest or climb up Shaggy Peak (about 2-6 hour round trip hiking, depending on your activity level). We look forward to sharing this unique, magical place with you in the “Land of Enchantment."

NOTE: We are up a 2 mile dirt road and are not near public transportation so you will need your own vehicle, motorcycle, bike, or horse! Be aware that the roads can be snowy or muddy in early spring, late fall and winter. At those times of the year we recommend a car with front-wheel, all track or four-wheel drive and good traction tires.

Please note that campsites are priced per person. Please add all guests 13 years and up to your reservation. (0-4 years old free, 5-12 years old 1/2 price, 13 and up $15. To pay the half priced child fee please notify me and plan to pay by cash or PayPal when you arrive.)

To help maintain the tranquility of our guests stays we are taking these steps to curb late arrivals.

We recommend you consider arriving while it is still light out. For one it makes locating us easier and you will get to experience our beautiful sunsets and have more time to enjoy on this enchanted hilltop!

Checkin times are now as follows:

(Note: Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am)

A $20 late fee will be charged from 8pm-10pm. If you arrive after these times host has the right to refuse entry without a refund, double the late fee or place you in a site they feel will be the least obtrusive to other guests. It is your responsibility to keep the host notified of your changing ETA.

I loved everything about this place. Its nice to relax and grt away from all the noise. Nights are lovely and days are full of wildlife and hikes. I loved that i could bring my canine friend! There is a communal kitchen, you use you clean. Bathrooms, with showers. A hot tub to relax and look out at the stars! I can't wait to visit again. It was completely comfortable and out in the middle of a Forrest. I can't compliment this place enough. It was wonderful

We really enjoyed our stay at the treehouse camp. There were plenty of different sites to choose from with a good amount of space in between for privacy. Loved the outdoor kitchen and the hosts provided plenty of Covid precautions to keep everyone safe. Thank you!

This property was wonderful! It was far enough away from town that it was quiet and the night sky was breathtaking with the clarity of the stars and milky way. But it was close enough that within 20 minutes, you can be in Santa Fe. Bansi was incredibly kind and showed us around the site and recommended some things for us to do in town (which was awesome). The camp sites are all well taken care of and very clean. I would highly recommend this property and would stay here again.

As a tent camper this was perfect! Tent in the wilderness, but with the luxuries of a kitchen, fridge , hot showers, flush toilets, and a HOT TUB! These are now very welcome amenities in my camping life. Only problem was finding it, I stopped for directions from local police, who came checking behind me ti see that I didn't get lost. That alone made me feel safe, that the police have the time to help lost visitors!

This was such a beautiful place to camp! Bansi was very helpful in getting us oriented with the features of the Tree House Camp. There were beautiful mountain views, stunning stars, and bathroom facilities a short walk from our site. We would absolutely go back! The hot tub was definitely an added bonus too...

Absolutely beautiful place in the forests of the Sangre De Cristo mountains. Hosts were super nice. We upgraded to a tree house, a pretty minimal structure but saved us from spending time setting up a tent so well worth it. The tree houses have open air windows so you still have the outdoor feel which was great. The icing on the cake is the hot tub which makes the perfect closer to a day of adventuring. Next time I would bring groceries to utilize the awesome open air community kitchen.

Camp was just as described (no cell phone service but we were warned of this in advance by the hosts so we were prepared). We were greeted enthusiastically and got the lay of the camp. Site was secluded and beautiful, everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We even asked for a last minute upgrade from a tent site to a tree house due to weather concerns and were accommodated with no issues.

Beautiful surroundings at the Santa Fe forest and the price is such a bargain! My only hope is that the campsite’s treehouse beds and kitchen area will be cleaned up a little bit!
