Our Desert Homestead - Tent Sites
We have a 2 acre homestead, broken into a main property and an annex property. With the panoramic mountain views and no neighbors but us, you will feel that you are in the middle of nowhere, even though we are only 10 minutes from a big commercial area. The stars at night go on forever in one direction, and in the other shimmer the beautiful lights of the city of Albuquerque

These tent sites have available parking near or at the site. All tent sites are currently on our annex property.
Every site has it's own picnic table and fire pit. We provide an Eco-Friendly composting toilet and hand pump sink. These sites are appropriate for tents, car campers, car top tents or camper vans only, NOT for pop-up campers or trailers. If you have a pop-up camper or trailer, please consider reserving our RV site.
On our off grid homestead, you are welcome to visit with the chickens, ducks, turkeys and goats. In the surrounding area, you can take a desert nature walk full of cactus, birds and rabbits. With a 10 - 30 minute drive you can be at Petroglyph National Monument, Old Town Albuquerque and Coronado Historical Site.
Please note that we are on a dirt road off of a dirt road. These roads can sometimes be difficult for lower cars or some types of RVs.

Such a beautiful place and beyoutiful people who own it! Great earthy open friendly easy going vibe out there! We absolutely loved it and I wish we could have stayed longer! We will be back next time we’re in Abq! We got to milk and feed the goats in the morning and Heidi was so sweet and shared some of her farming knowledge with us... so grateful to have had the experience and to have met such kind hearted people in such a beautiful state! 🙏🍃 Thank you!
Great little off-grid spot just outside of Albuquerque. Perfect place for us to stay before heading to Petroglyph National Monument in the morning. Tent sites were tucked back off the main road with a composting toilet and a group seating area with paths lit with string lights.
A beautiful stay in the abq desert.
Our stay in ABQ with Heidi was very nice. The camping area was small but safe and secure. The other guests were quiet and courteous during our evening. Despite our unfamiliarity with composting toilets, the facilities were clean, well kept, and not intimidating at all.
Heidi greeted us and showed us to our site and was more than accommodating. We were in and out for Fiesta, but our stay was very pleasant! Would recommend to any traveler!
Incredible, fun, unique.
Absolutely loved it. Such a fun vibe, with lights on the walkway and unique decorations around the site. It was a great place to stay, and I definitely plan on coming back!
Came in after hours when it was dark. They provided excellent directions that were easy to follow. Cute common area with yard games that we didn’t get to use but was nice that they were provided. Campsites were kind of close but everyone was quiet and respectful. Would stay there again!
We stayed here during the balloon fest hoping to catch a glimpse in the morning, which we did! The campsites are fairly close together and we had some loud neighbors, but it was easy to find and reach even in a low clearance vehicle.
Duck eggs and balloons!
Amazing hosts! We setup right next to the animals (goats, chickens, geese, ducks) and although they wake you up pretty early, we wanted the wake up call to watch the balloons ascend anyway. Got a half dozen chicken and duck eggs for breakfast. Definitely the place to stop in Albuquerque!
