Step out of your tent in the morning, and the sun kisses your cheeks... All of them. Private adult only (18+) Clothing Optional dry tent camping set on 20 rural acres. Re-use, Re-purpose, Up-cycle... We are committed to making great treasures from one man's trash!  Our sites have tables and chairs created from old tires.  We are re-using old pallets to create tent platforms, benches and signs.   .   Our little campground is primitive, but we are a work in progress, with amenities coming in the future.

Property butts up against a large BLM area, with plenty of room to take a walk in the buff. We have an above ground pool if you would prefer to relax and skinny dip.  Or if you're preferring to sight see, there are numerous places to go around our area.

In New Mexico, in 45 minutes or less you can be at one of the following:  Navajo Lake State Park, Aztec Ruins, Glade Run Recreational area, Jackson Lake Wildlife Refuge, Farmington Lake Recreational area.  San Juan Quality Waters in the San Juan River offers world class fishing.  The Animas River offers fun river floats.  Chaco Canyon National Park is only 2 hours away.

In Colorado, we are about an hour from these attractions:  Mesa Verde National Park, McPhee Reservoir, Canyon of the Ancients, Lake Nighthorse Day Use Recreation area, Chimney Rock and Purgatory Ski Resort.  La Plata Canyon has great mountain hiking and is only 30 minutes away.

We look forward to assisting you in a memorable Getaway!

This is a very simple site but has what you need if you are just seeking a quick place to sleep while you are traveling through town. We weren't there long (explanation below) but all in all, it was a very beautiful location to wake up in, and even had a trampoline, which was a fun addition :)

*Heads up* The further into the site you go, the deeper the sand gets. We had a front wheel rental and nearly dodged a bullet, a couple times. As soon as you see the tires (used to make a seating area) that's one of the sites, do not go much further in or you're risking getting stuck.

***not related to site but wanted to warn others*** We arrived very late due to confusion on how to get there. Additionally, on our way to the location I was given a speeding ticket while driving through the tiny town south of this place. The cop sits RIGHT at the mph sign, and is intentionally waiting for out-of-towners to miss the sudden change in speed. I explained that not only were we out of town, but also lost, and extremely exhausted (it was 11:20 pm). He couldn't care less about our safety and did not even bother to offer us any support or direction. Needless to say, be very careful driving through Aztec to get to this location.

Due to that incident we didn't get to bed until about 2 am, it was quite cold as it is a desert, so bring lots of warm clothes!

This was one of our favorite spots on our way to the Grand Canyon. The landscape was awesome and the tire table and chairs were so cool. The stars and moon at night over our spot was divine. We spent two nights and wished we had more time to enjoy the pool and walk the BLM area. DeDe and Kevin we very kind and gave us some great suggestions on where to go for hikes and great views. We will definitely be back if ever in the area.

Had a wonderful stay with De De and Kevin and their new campground. We stayed in the RV site and loved the personal touch of firewood and makings for s'mores in the welcome bag. Also had a lovely skinny dip in the pool onsite. Beautiful views and fun hummocky terrain over which we felt very comfortable walking around in our skin at our site and in the campground. Definitely recommend!

Scenic and serene location away from any hustle and bustle you may be looking to escape. De De was a very gracious and attentive host, providing us with firewood, water access, allowing us to use her pool, and gifting us with a lovely welcome pack that included some yummy s'mores. Right up the hill is a gorgeous view of the San Juans as well.
