<3 Hello! Welcome to Sacred Nectar Sanctuary. Bordered by the White Mountain National Forest and land conservation, Sacred Nectar Sanctuary is cradled in the valley of the 4,020 ft. Whiteface Mountain. Our private camp sites each carry their own unique enchanting energy. Four of our sites have Mountain Views and are up the steep but smooth dirt road (AWD recommended but not necessary). The other three magical sites lay tucked in the mossy forests. We pride ourselves on providing a quiet nature submersed camping experience, loud groups are not acceptable here. We count on every individual to actively participate in being a mindful camper so that together we can create a future of camping that does not degrade the land we enjoy and provides a place of sanctitude. Enjoy our Blissful campsites as your base camp and easy access to all the White Mountains of New Hampshire have to offer. Looking to get off grid away from traditional campgrounds? Welcome to the New Earth.
RV's and Camping trailers are not allowed. Small 10ft teardrop trailers and sprinter vans are acceptable.
Note: Site #7 is now on it's own Hipcamp listing "Top of the Sanctuary site 7".
~CAMPSITE DESCRIPTIONS~
Site #1 ~Is located in a shaded birch forest with a peeking view over the fields and some mountains. Lots of little trails surround this site that lead to a beaver pond and offers lots to explore away from other sites. This site contains room for 4 tent spots and about 4 cars. Not recommended for a trailer, tight maneuvering. Private hidden outhouse not far from the fire pit.
Site #2~ Has a wide open clearing as well as hidden sites among the birch trees with lots of shade. Good star gazing here and includes a large open space for lots of parking and room to turn around a trailer. There is lots of exploring space here as well for those who are looking to get as far away from the crowd as possible. You can fit 8 tents comfortably, possibly more. Private Outhouse as well.
Site #3~ lays on the edge of a beautiful pine forest and offers a great place to watch the stars around the fire. Very private site as well with room for 4 tents and plenty of parking. Outhouse on site.
Sites #4~ has unique mountain views on the property and includes a private outhouse. There is room for 4 tents as well and good space turn a small trailer around. The fire pit looks over a mountain view and is located on the other side of the road from the tent sites. The road that passes slightly through this site leads to site 5 and 6. If you are towing a trailer you must have awd to get to sites 4-6 or you might not make it up. Most all 2wd vehicles will get up to these upper sites just fine.
Site #5~ is very large and open. It has plenty of shade and enough space for about 10 tents. A Fantastic view and big pines make this a favorite. Site 5 and 6 share an outhouse between the sites but are far enough away from each other (200ft through thick woods) that it keeps these sites quite private.
Site #6~ also has an incredible view over the Valley. A bit smaller than site 5 but still enough room for 6 tent spots and enough space to turn a small trailer around.
~CAMPGROUND INFO~
There are multiple trailheads just down the road with hikes for all abilities and the quiet, flat backroads make for a perfect family bike ride. Mt. Whiteface out the back door is a full day hike (8+ hours) with a trailhead and parking located just before site #7. This trail connects to the McCrillis Path and up the Blueberry Ledge Trail to the summit. Trail Maps are provided at the Check-In with a deposit.
We are 20 minutes from Lake Winnipesaukee, Squam Lake, and the very peaceful boat-free lake of Chocorua. Check out the Sandwich Creamery Ice cream shack down the old dirt road to get your sweet tooth fix. Well behaved dogs are welcome to run as free as can be! The neighbors friendly dogs might show up at your site and hang out with you as well. Do NOT feed the dogs or ANY other animals please, even if its cute! Bears, moose, porcupines, turkeys, and many other creatures call this home, so keeping your food in the car at night is recommended. Dragonfly Yoga Barn is right down the road and offers outdoor yoga classes. We have WiFi at the house/check-in if you need to use it. On 113A just before you turn onto Whiteface Intervale Rd there is a delicious natural spring on the side of the road for you to fill up your water jugs. We also have well water available at the house.
Our Camper Check-In in front of the house has firewood and all the information you need for local things to do in the area that you are free to browse through on your arrival. There is a campsite map at the check in and If you have any questions there is typically someone around.
Our rustic campsites include loads of space for activities, a fire pit and grill, table, stump seating, and wicked cool outhouses. If you are arriving in many cars there is plenty of space to leave cars at the house so you can carpool to the sites. Dry firewood is available at the house for $5 a bundle. We ask that you please do not peel the bark off of the living birch trees to start your fire. All of the sites have room for at least 5 tents and some up to 15. Tent spots may have gravel so bring good sleeping padding. We ask you leave your site cleaner than you found it. Every bit of clean up is very appreciated! :)
Our top priorities with our Hip Camp is keeping this land pristine and respected. Our mission to save our environment can only be accomplished with the active mindfulness of YOU! We are here to prove that people can change and that an alternative to traditional campgrounds can be an extremely magical benefit for the people and land.
As a courtesy to Mother Earth and fellow campers, please do not burn any trash other than paper products. We have garbage and recycling at the house that you are welcome to use. We ask that you stay mindful of how much trash you produce here.. Bring your bottles! We have some of the cleanest spring water you can find, right down the road for you to fill your water containers up and avoid buying plastic!
Staying up late around the campfire is highly encouraged. Just keep it quiet for others. Please keep your speed down while driving on our quiet neighborhood road and on the property.
Our goal with Hipcamp is to provide a place for seekers of peace to gain a better relationship and appreciation with nature in a world that has forgotten the importance and connection we all have with the planet that sustains us. The Sanctuary land is holding space for the organic growth of regenerative community. You are the change we have been waiting for! Thanks for caring and being apart of the solution <3

This is undoubtedly the best campground I've ever been to and probably ever will. But don't stop reading now. Although that seemed pretty direct, it was an understatement.
We visited the campsite for about 2 weeks last august. We were a group of 3 climbers from Canada. The campsite is about 45 mins from Rumney, an amazing sport crag, but also close to many (many) other cliffs, such as Cathedral Ledge (where we had our first trad multi-pitch experience, simply amazing). The 45 mins morning and night car ride was well worth it, and I would certainly chose this campsite again, compared to the classic option of camping in the common campsite at Rumney.
Now, let's talk specifics.
The campsite (#4 in our case if I remember correctly, but we also saw a few other campsites so these comments should apply to those as well) was amazing. The view was incredible, even breathtaking (and I'm really not exaggerating). The campsites are also very distanced : this is probably the only camping where you are surprised how far other people are, instead of being disappointed at how close they are. Campsites 4 and 5 are the closest together, and yet we never saw the people on campsite 5, and barely heard a sound a number of times I can count on my hands. The campsites are big, or should i say huge, or should I say massive. We each had our own 1 person tents, but we could have fitted 20 (really). From my understanding of how big the property is, they could have fitted dozens of campsites, but they put 6. And that's a good thing : too many campsites (and too close) would have ruined it. Usually in life, good things come in quality, not quantity. No usual campground would have done this, but this is no usual campground
The services were simply on point. The ability to take a shower (every few days in our case) was great, especially since this is on Hipcamp (most places don't have this). The wood for the fire was also of good quality. Near every campsite there is an outhouse for when going to the house to pass, well, bodily residue, is too far (oh yeah, did I say it takes a few minutes by car to go from the house to campsite 5, just to show how distanced everything is). Might sound ridiculous talking about a toilet in the forest, but the outhouses were great : comfortable, well organized, pretty cool even. Legend is Nick made the outhouses himself...
The location, too, is great. I already talked about the multiple climbing areas nearby, but there are countless other outdoors activities to do in the area. The camping is secluded yet not too remote. On our last night at the campsite, we decided we wanted to, of all things, have ice cream. We went to Holderness, at the Squam Lakeside, about 30 mins away. To our surprise, there were fireworks on the lake that night, and our trip was fittingly ending with them, really an amazing moment. I can't promise there will be fireworks when you go though.
But above all else, the people were amazing. Nick is an incredible host : always helpful, in a good mood, all around fun! Michelle was amazing : probably the nicest and infectiously happy person I've ever met. Nick's mother helped us once when our car battery wasn't working, and Nick's dad was very nice. During our trip, Nick and Michelle had at various points some of their friends over and we were able to spend time around the fire with them, at our or other campsites. We even brought Nick and Michelle climbing at Rumney!
When we left for this trip, I thought I'd know what to expect. I thought we would have some good climbing and a nice fire at night. I thought we would see great landscapes and escape the swarming nature of city life. And I was right. This place simply has a magical feeling. At a normal campground, you pay the hosts. But this is no normal campground. Now, the hosts are our friends. That's the part you don't expect.
Yeah, we'll be back.
This was truly an amazing camping site, with stunning views and complete privacy.
There are many different trail heads around and even a local swimming hole with only a couple minutes driving.
The host Michele was incredible helpful in so many ways.
We will definitely return!

It was such a pleasure hosting your family! Thanks for the company and the feedback, we hope to see you all again!!
Our stay at Sacred Nectar Sanctuary was amazing. Our site's view of the mountains was incredible. At night we could see all of the glittering stars in the sky. The site was spacious, clean, and had a great compost toilet! Warm showers were a quick drive back to the main house. Michelle was a great Hipcamp host- very kind, welcoming, quick to reply to any questions, and with awesome recommendations of things to do nearby. We would recommend Sacred Nectar Sanctuary to anyone looking to stay at an awesome campsite. We are looking forward to returning in the near future!

You guys rock! So happy to have such a great group of people come stay with us :)
Had an amazing time. Great views. Like the description says 4x4 is highly recommended. The drive up to the site is full of loose gravel/rocks up with some pretty steep sections.
Our site had a beautifully crafted outhouse, a large wood pile for burning, seats around a campfire and 180* views! It was amazing. We want to go back and stay at their other sites. A local swimming hole is available just a few minutes away as well as a fresh water spring for drinking and hiking paths right off our site.
Michelle was prompt and helpful in responding to us and was more than welcoming during our stay. They really have created a camping experience in nature and encourage people to make it theirs. Can’t wait to return!
Oh and look for fairy houses.
The place was amazing! The view from my site was out of control and I felt complete privacy. I would recommend this place to anyone who is a nature enthusiast and wants to enjoy camping the way its intended . Not to mention Michelle the site host was one of the nicest people I've ever met! My friends and I will definitely be returning!

So happy to be one of your first camping experiences! We hope to make it a tradition, best of luck to you all!
Awesome views, private, central to everything we wanted to do. Nick was really helpful and responsive. A big bull moose wandered into our site which was amazing to see. This place was home base for a perfect weekend. 10/10.
There surely are only a few places that deserve 'Sanctuary' to be part of their name. this place truly does.
the sun was about to set, when we arrived at the Sacred Nectar Sanctuary and we were awed by the beauty of the place. we spent two nights on site 6 and one night on site 1. each site on Nick's land has a special view and atmosphere, and the place is filled with the magnificent details that he has added to them: the outdoor bathrooms (my 10 year old thought Nick should exhibit his creations at an art museum!), the path he opened behind the land that leads to the Whiteface Mountain trail (which has been so far one of the most interesting and beautiful hikes for us), the little friendly signs along this large piece of beautiful land (where you feel both completely alone in this wonderful nature and at the same time feel like a welcome guest of Nick and his family).
Nick has been an amazing, generous host, available for all our questions. he helped us find the trails that were perfect for us, and pointed us to the places worthwhile to see and visit.
this is one of the most peaceful places we have been to and we had a really hard time to leave. we so hope to be able to go back for some more of the light, and the sounds, the beautiful views, and the fantastic hikes!

Perhaps the best 4th of July fireworks display I've seen in my 62 year old life.......1000s of fireflies in the adjacent field.....with a full bullfrog chorus. Camping doesn't get much better than this!!!

Thanks for the review Ginny! We are happy to have you back anytime!!
