Description

Fancy a little high desert action with some pretty rad looking historical structures thrown in? Ward Charcoal Ovens State Historic Park has it all. Spend a few nights here at Willow Creek Campground which has camping spots for every type of setup. Then you’ll have time to get out on the trail network that covers all ends of the park, or the off road vehicle trail connecting the park to vast amounts of BLM land waiting to be explored. Definitely don’t miss seeing the six beehive shaped, 30-feet high structures from the late 1800’s that were once used as charcoal ovens, and now serve as inspiration for the backyard pizza oven of your dreams.
