This little gem is 5 miles from the North entrance of Yellowstone Park. It is up a dirt road (can be very bumpy at times) that gets you up and away from the crowds where you can relax and enjoy the sounds of nature. The site sits has private access to Bear Creek, a pristine stream with minimal access locations. When you are down by our creek, you are in a forest oasis. The RV/Trailer site is a back-in only site with trees, picnic table, electric, water and sewer hook ups. Nearby is our turn of the century barn with chickens doing "chicken things". Jardine itself is a historic mining town, with several trail-heads nearby. Mountain biking can be enjoyed on the many dirty roads above Jardine.Within 5 miles of Gardiner, on a dirt road (can be bumpy) , and 5 miles to the entrance of Yellowstone Park. 1000 ft of elevation change between Gardiner and Jardine, we are IN THE MOUNTAINS, so if you like it wild, we are your location! Bear Creek Base Camp
Gorgeous land and comfortable stay! Thank you Wendi for such generous hospitality! There is a beautiful creek nearby the camp, which is a huge plus. Located very close to Yellowstone and Gardiner, there are plenty of activities locally. The camp is very easy to access and locate. I hope to stay here again in the future!

Bear Creek Base Camp
Camping near Yellowstone entrance
This campsite was great! It has a beautiful view looking over Wendi’s land onto a mountain. There are chickens and ducks to say hello to and access to the creek below. The creek is so pretty and had a swing we won’t forget. We were given clear directions and it was easy to find the site. There is a picnic table and full hookups. You need good trailer backing skills, or a very small turn radius if you are going to stay here. Our camper is a 19’ bumper pull and we felt most comfortable coming in the driveway then backing into the site, and when it was time to leave going forward into the driveway again and backing out of the driveway and onto the road. The site itself is easy to get in and out of, it’s back up onto to the road where one will need the trailering skills. Wendi was clear about this with us before we stayed there and I appreciated that! Getting to the property there are a couple miles on a dirt road that is maintained, but has the occasional washboard. This is definitely a great spot with close access to Yellowstone gardiner entrance!

Bear Creek Base Camp
The major pro of this location was the hosts. We were greeted, they checked in to offer to put trash in their cans if we needed it, and when we were having trouble backing out of the drive they came and helped (even though I was a total grump!). The con is there is a 15 minute drive up a very bumpy and steep road to get there. Apparently the road hasn’t had the normal upkeep, so hopefully this is just a temporary problem. It made it very frustrating to go back and forth from the property.
