🏕 at site 1, loved it!
Camping at site 1 was amazing! It is nice and shady and one cannot forget the beautiful sound of the flow of the creek. It is hot during the day but not too bad because you can always sit in the creek or go to other bodies of water to cool off and drink🤪 I am am big worrier with heat and I must say, we were great! At night it was in the 60's😯! So bring extra blankets!! For breakfast we drove about 15 minutes to "the three forks" diner whom of which has AMAZING food! The site itself is private, not a big open space where you can see everyone which is super nice. Bill is a great guy who really enjoys helping people experience the beauty the world has to offer. This is a place where you want at least 2 nights there. If not more! I wish we could have done at least 4 nights. Side note, there was no poison ivy that I could see as Bill makes sure he takes care of that. The only thing I would recommend is bringing water shoes and bug spray that is good for ticks as well as other bugs.
We will definitely be back in the near future!

Great visit again! One of my favorites! I got one more trip in before he closed down on October 31st. Such a great guy. Great space. Wonderful time.

Great camping with an awesome host
The campground was awesome! It was further out than I expected and didn’t bring out a backpack, but Bill helped me to take my stuff up to camp. I did campground #3 which had the fewest amenities but all I really wanted was a fire pit. Right in the middle of trees. Close to a cute pond with a raft to sit and relax as well. So much fun. Bill is the nicest guy and genuinely just wants to create some positive outdoor experiences for people. He showed me around to other campsites and I would recommend someone booking #6! All of them are pretty cool though. I highly recommend this place!

Hi Skyler an thank you for your review. I look forward to seeing you soon. It had been said that this region has the least light polution so what that means is that at night star gazing is the best. I have seen the Milky Way fill the nite sky! Its amazing! See ya here.
Secluded, but close to everything!
Bill was an excellent host. My wife and I came in for a weekend trip over Labor Day. We arrived late, but Bill was gracious to stay up to show us around and inform us of where everything was at. The campsite was just as described. We set up in site 1 along the creek - the white noise of the creek was amazing to sleep next to. His property also offers a pond which we enjoyed a slow morning at. Due to it being Labor Day weekend, we were looking for a quiet spot away from the holiday bustle, and Bill’s land was just that. We did a day float on the Jack’s Fork River on Saturday and Johnson’s Shut-ins and Elephant Rocks on Sunday. We found 1855 Campground well situated to many of the attractions we enjoy in that area. Definitely intending to visit again.

5 STARS plus a trillion more if you get a clear night, even then the rain didn't dampen the natural experience of off grid camping. (natural wifi good luck finding a signal here). l would like to give this a single Star, to keep it a secret, unfortunately Bill is a pleasant host who is helpful if you need anything and knowledgeable in pointing out all the area has to offer. This is a beautiful and secluded piece of nature that will be on our list of places to return. You won't be disappointed, the shuttle service is is phenomenal and helpful.
I loved this campground — beautiful, secluded and safe, just want I needed for my solo retreat! Bill was a great host, and this space met all of my needs. The free firewood was such a great perk. I was at campsite 1, which has creek access, and being able to cool off in the creek was SO NICE in the hot and muggy afternoons.

Your a great camper, an you experienced what its like to be surrounded by Mother Nature. Thanks for coming and come back again. Bill
Peace & quiet surrounded by nature.
We wanted a quiet getaway from the city life. This was everything we were looking for. We hiked the property and fished in the on-site lake. Caught a few nice largemouth bass! (We did catch and release) If you are looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is what you’re looking for, from the natural springs to the wildlife, this is a great place. Bill is a wonderful host. He answered our questions and gave us information on local attractions. Can’t wait to come back to camp again….soon!

Thank you Gary, the crazyness of city life is the reason i moved here in the first place. The campground, by design, is fed from that need. So glad you experienced what the property has so freely given to me. Best regards, Bill
