Welcome to the Burrow, a project of All You Need Institute!

We have 111 acres of diverse and rare habitats including mixed pine and hardwood wood forest, 1+ acre swimmable pond, a springhead/bottomland creek area, and the unique beachy white sands of the seafoam green lichen wonderscape (do not walk on or collect the lichens!!!). There are miles of trails for hiking and plenty of space to just commune with nature.

Our northern boundary is a tract of DeSoto National Forest, where we have practically exclusive access to another 90 acres of longleaf pine savannah and more bottomland creeks. This land is also home to the endangered gopher tortoise (stay at least 15 feet from their burrows!!!), as well as the threatened black pine snake and many other interesting flora and fauna.

All You Need Institute is a grassroots project aimed at developing a nature and sustainable living education center. We aim to live in right relationship with the land and implement conservation practices to increase the biodiversity and health of the ecosystems around us while simultaneously providing for our own needs. We regularly offer educational workshops and retreats on these topics.

Nearby our site are canoeing and kayaking outfitters so that you can plan a trip down the Black Creek or explore DeSoto National forest. We would love to have you stay with us!

Beautiful land, very magical. We loved being nestled in the trees and swimming in the pond. A+ star gazing. Will surely be back for some more restorative nature bathing.

We tent camped at Jordan and Kezia’s site and it was great! We camped on the shore of the pond and the site had tons of amenities available like kayak rentals and outhouses. We’re definitely coming back!

The land is glorious. Part of the Forest, and I was free. Me and my dog, so very out in nature and free to roam, build a fire, hike for miles.. I was recharged when I left and I promised the land that we would be back.

Five stars to Jordan and the Burrow. Awesome host and location. Jordan went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule. Great first experience with Hipcamp. The Burrow is off the beaten path while being a few miles from the interstate. Quite, secluded and private. I will be returning.

The lake was wonderful for swimming!!! I definitely recommend water shoes for the lake. The property and campsites were so beautiful. We will absolutely be back!! Just know that you need to bring your own table and cooking grate if you wanna cook on the fire. Just a wonderful chill weekend. They were so kind to wait for us even though we didn’t get there until 8:30pm. Definitely stay here!

The place was great, we got a camp site right in front of the large pond they have on the property and loved hearing all the frogs chat. The sites are pretty secluded, with the sites further from the pond being a bit more secluded than the ones by the pond. But I think wherever you decide to camp on the property will be enjoyable. Also, with Verizon I had reception the entire time, so if you still want a bit of emergency access to the rest of the world you won't have any issues.

We had an amazing time at the Burrow. It is such a well cared for a beautiful area. The sites are spread out so you have quite a bit of privacy. Not all sites are drive in, so if you're in a van or trailer or whatever check which sites will work well. We had site 1 which was a walk in site but there was enough level area to camp at the parking spot with a short walk down to the fire pit and pond area.

The pond was great for a swim (a little slippery at the bottom so be careful) and the hiking trail was beautiful. Perfect for a relaxing trip in nature. Love that it's pet friendly with leashes required (safer for pups, people, other pets, and nature!). We'll definitely be coming back again.
