The Little Cloquet Cove
Perfect for kids!
The land was beautiful and we had the choice of where to pitch our tents by the water or closer to the bathroom. (Kids chose bathroom.) Having the additional space in the shed and kid “clubhouse” to use was unexpected, but a definite bonus for card games and meals. Sue was very welcoming and the bathroom was very clean!

The Little Cloquet Cove
Bliss at Little Cloquet.
We were some on the first campers to stay at Little Cloquet. Sue was very welcoming and accommodating, even offering to let us use the canoe and kayaks. We were a group of 6 and stayed by the river under a beautiful grove of Birch. There was plenty of wood to be scavenged and some cut wood that Sue provided. Since she is new to HipCamp, my only suggestions would be to grade the sites and define them a wee bit. Finding flat ground for all our tents was a tiny bit challenging, but overall, EXCELLENT! And Jessie the pupper was adorable! None of us wanted to leave. Would definitely camp there again.

Nice camp. Nice host.
Very nice property on which to camp. Easy to find location. Sue met my friend and I upon arrival and she was warm and personable. It was late in the evening and dark when we arrived. She led us to our campsite and had already started a fire for us. This was a really unexpected and wonderful thing for her to do. I would definitely stay there again.

LOVE!
I’m so grateful to Sue for sharing her home and land. So many cool sites to set up your own camping space surrounded by an abundance of big beautiful trees. The pavilion was set up so adorably would great options to escape any rain, play games — and an outhouse to boot. Available canoe and firewood make this even better. Truly I can’t say enough good things — about Sue either, she is the absolute sweetest and welcomes you right away! Can’t wait to go back
