The Haven camp site and wedding venue began in 2022, with a slow start; but as we jumped into the 2023 season, we made quite a bit of changes and ended the year with great success by: meeting new people and having many people come back for their second and third times! We strive to share the property that God has graciously blessed us with. The Haven is 3 acres of beautiful land on the St Joseph River. Our property setting is a hidden gem that opens to the most beautiful natural setting. The land offers a gorgeous view of the river and numerous shady sites nestled underneath a giant array of oak beach and walnut trees. Here at The Haven, the property has ample space for parking, room for various size camping tents and small pop-up tents small RV's, A dock for fishing, and access for kayaking. Fire pits and grill area for cooking and a complimentary bucket with some goodies to start you off. This setting is perfect for camping in a private nestled nook on the river. We have more than one area on the property to choose from. You can choose any site you would like: From the River’s edge, Beach Area (site 1) Small RV and tent site, or on the River under The Canopy of trees (site2) small RV and tent site. You also can stay at the Cozy corner (Site 3) by the woods and river in our new addition: Trailer that sleeps up to 4 people with all the amenities and can accommodate campers with tents as well, Or The Cove by the woods, small camper, and tent (site 4). Come Stargaze or hangout at the “spot” (dock) comfortably and lounge with views on the water or sit by the campfire at “The Pit.” Every site is first come first serve. Book earlier to get your desired spot! Bring your toys and play in the great outdoors! We have corn hole toss, horseshoe toss, throw the football or play some volleyball or Tether ball and soon Frisbee Golf! Or rent some Kayaks and really enjoy the river! Don’t miss out book now! -If smoking or drugs are discovered on the property the whole group will be asked to leave with NO REFUND. NO EXCEPTIONS. Alcohol will be at the owner’s discretion upon arrival. Please dump all trash in waste baskets provided. Please clean up after pets and please be responsible and respectful of others. The Haven

The beach (site1)

Peaceful riverside camp

I had a wonderful, peaceful evening camping at the Beach site on Kat’s property. The riverside deck was the perfect place to watch the moonrise and relax under the stars after a long day of driving. Overnight, I was lucky enough to hear two owls (one on each side of the river) converse, and a beaver slapping the water as it made its way downstream. My stay was short but rejuvenating, and I had the pleasure of meeting Kat, who was a phenomenal host. She was welcoming and kind, and it’s easy to see that hospitality is at the forefront of her efforts. Should I find myself in the area on future trips, I’ll be sure to stay again!

Great sites, very secluded on the river. Our third time was just as good as previous visits. Great hosts. Nice to have some firewood available, too.

The beach (site1)

A place with visiting!

We loved camping at this site. We were greeted by the host as we drove in and he showed us to our site. Pitched our tent right by the river, had a great campfire and slept in late. I did forget my drone and Kat contacted me immediately to let me know it was in their safekeeping, I picked it up a couple of days later. All good! A great experience overall!

Very cozy spot next to the river with a beautiful view. The host was very nice and offered plenty of complimentary items such as kayaks, bean bag toss, and fishing is available here as well. I had no issues with this location.

I loved tent camping at this location! It is a beautiful, serene place with so much peace. The hosts are so gracious to share their love of their land with the public and you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait to go back!
