The camping area was fantastic. We tubed down the river and were able to stop right at the camp site. There are a lot of stairs, I wish we had packed a little lighter. The outhouse was an outhouse.
You need to camp here!
A very peaceful place to be at. the river is really nice. Bring water shoes for traction. we plan on camping in the fall next time because of all the trees.
I don't have anything negative to say. it's exactly what we were looking for.
We had a great time tent camping at Brookhollow! Brian was a wonderful host, and was even helpful bringing our stuff down from the car to the campsite. He checked in to make sure we didn’t need anything and was very communicative. We brought 3 dogs that loved free-roaming and had a blast. Would definitely go again!
A week by the river
We had a great time at Brain's site! He was super helpful and really took care of the site, even helped us carry some of our items. We had nice privacy, the river was beautiful and clean, and we spent a lovely week there
Great time by the water. Hosts were amazing and helpful when I needed to jump my car. Beautiful space for an easy getaway. You can see the house from the campzone but you still feel rather secluded in nature.
Exceptional spot to camp
My friend and our four young boys had a wonderful time. Brian greeted us and provided exceptional hospitality (even played baseball with the kids while we loaded out). The site was perfect for our trip. It offered plenty of options for activities and our boys were thrilled to play in the river or hike and gather fire wood. Can’t recommend this site enough and will return!
Serenity by the river
Brian has a gorgeous piece of land by the river. It was just what we needed to open our souls to nature at the beginning of our trip. The river was relaxing , soothing an surprisingly warm.
There is an abundance of space and we were able to hang our hammocks and our son pitched his tent in a cozy little place.
We were lucky and didn't experience a swarm of mosquitos or flies. It was perfect.
There is a steep pathway or the option of steep steps down To the campsite so be prepared to haul your stuff. We are light campers and just carried backpacks. If you have a cooler I would suggest one on wheels.
The outhouse is at the top of the steps so also plan to go before bedtime or else the nighttime journey up the steps could be hazardous.
The campsite is down the hill from the house and very private.
Brian is a very helpful host and we plan to return at some point.
