Beautiful property! The view was spectacular and loved that there was hiking on the property and a small stream for a rinse off (not really swimming level this time of year but was very refreshing after a hike). It would have been helpful to have instructions for where our campsite was and how to use the toilet. The toilet is like a small enclosure where you go in a bag that lines a bucket, then throw the bag in the trash. The toilet is mostly closed off except the entranceway - we parked our car in front of it but a curtain or door would have been nice
A very nice overnight stop. Nice site and the hosts were helpful and friendly. Having a brewery onsite and be able to enjoy and not have to drive is a selling point in itself. Definitely would recommend brewery
The vistas and vines were all that we expected and more. Lauren was a friendly host, and we enjoyed exploring the farm and tasting the beer and provisions at the store. Excellent experience! We will come again.
Family of 5 (3 under 8) stay w/ dog
My family just got back from a wonderful stay at Black Rabbit Farm. The farm is charming and sleeping next to a vineyard was a cool experience. The views and surrounding area are gorgeous.
Our tent was to large for the platform so we set up a secondary area for the tent which wasn’t a problem. They had 2 large containers of water waiting for us at the site which was great for hand washing and doing dishes. They also had a dog run already set up which made it convenient for us to keep our dog leashes. The compost toilet was supplied with all the necessities and was a huge perk for us having 2 out of 3 kids potty trained.
The fire pit is large and has a grate for cooking and Lauren has wood right on site you can purchase.
We bought sauces, beer and tonic from them as well. I came home and made a gin and tonic with the elderberry and honey tonic. It’s amazing!
The one “downfall” is closer to homes then I anticipated. We could see into their backyard and heard talking (not loudly and annoying) along with road noise one night. It wasn’t a big deal but wanted to mention. We also went when leaves didn’t fill in the trees
We found a hiking trail on the property and enjoyed an easy 2 mile round trip walk and the ate a picnic lunch in a large clearing.
We would definitely return and try out the farms other campsite which was definitely more secluded and in the woods.
With Covid-19 I appreciated the contactless stay and we truly didn’t see another person the entire time. We felt like we had the entire place to ourselves.
Thanks for the great time!
Our expectations were blown away by how beautiful, and relaxing this site was. Lovely 360 views of their property. Well kept property. We felt safe, and secure at night. Host was very friendly and accommodating for us. Food and beverages from their business are delicious also! We will be returning!
