In 2014 we purchased this property and started our homestead dream. We raise much of our food here in our massive gardens as well as chickens for eggs and meat. We are working towards a more sustainable life here and eschew most modern lifestyle ideologies.  We do most of what our homesteading fore fathers did. We prefer to cook, bake and grill our food from scratch and we enjoy our meals outside whenever we can. This land is surrounded by family farms and growing families. We do have a close neighbor, whos property was once part of a larger parcel owned by the previous owners. They divided it the year we purchased ours(15 acres = garage) and the house lot( 1.75 acres with house) was sold to someone else. Therefore, we do our best to be good neighbors and we wish you to extend the same curtesy, as if they were your neighbors too.  Learn more about this land: We are in central Maine, selling goods at our on farm stand. Farmington is a college town with access to hiking, rivers and lakes close.Fall is pretty!

Working Family Homestead Camping
Organic, cool place!
Victoria and Gary are gracious and kind hosts, I felt so welcomed and happy to camp here. I was fascinated and interested to learn about organic farming and raising chickens. They are beautiful, loved chickens of different breeds that lay eggs of various beautiful colors. The property is very cool with mowed paths through the natural tall grasses and wildflowers that keep the bees happy. Lots of vegetable gardens and fruit trees in bloom – delicious tart cherries! It was a good, level camp site for the van with a picnic table. I might have set up the tent for the 2 nights but with rain in the forecast I completed my vacation sleeping all 13 nights in the van! The outhouse was located close by and it was fresh with running water. I loved the decorating details with Moon on the door, a welcome sign inside and ribbons around the jar and paper towel holder. The solar shower was spacious; it felt great after mountain biking at Titcomb. I’m so happy this was my last Hipcamp stop on my 2 week vacation adventure! With access to lots of hiking, mountain biking and things to do in the Farmington area, I can’t wait to come back and stay here at the family homestead!
