Our stay at the Timber Tent was terrific! Cabin was large and comfortable, with lots of windows, futon, camp chair and picnic table. Backed just beside the woods with a meadow full of wildflowers, (lots of firewood just inside the tree line.) Found host had left flashlights, bug spray, firestarters (and TP 🙂!) Good view of the water from the upper fire pit. 15 minutes from Schoodic peninsula/Acadia NP and Winter harbor. It was so quiet, peaceful, and scenic there, so glad we stayed, hoping to come again.
We loved Alisa's Timber Tent Hipcamp. Location, views and communication were all excellent.
The little cabin was clean and good ventilation! The land is incredible with beautiful views. Great home base for exploring ANP.

The site is spacious and private with beautiful scenery.
The property is exactly as advertised. We had a great stay there, however the door doesn't lock, which would have been nice for security.
This spot was great! It’s within a 30 min drive of Acadia (Schoodic) and close to supplies and restaurants. We wound up sleeping in the shelter with our 3 dogs due to the rain, but the property would have easily accommodated a large tent. The shelter and outhouse were both clean and very appreciated! The view did not disappoint, either!
Great hut and wonderful views! About 15 minutes drive to Schoodic and an hour to the rest of Acadia. Enjoyed making fires in the pit. Be prepared for mosquitoes and no water on site and you'll have a great time! Closest restaurants are on US1 or toward Schoodic.
Great, simple, peaceful place to spend the night.

Wide open spot with a view. Quite private. Great new out house and utilitarian picnic table. The noise from Rt 1 did quiet later in the evening until just before dawn. Was happy to be there in a small self contained vehicle. Alisa was quickly and easily available when I needed some last minute guidance. Good stepping off spot for Acadia explorations.
