Settled in 1866 by Mr. Robert Brown. The land is now used for beef cattle and a small amount of dry land hay production.
We have 3 private campsites to offer, all have good distance from each other with no visibility of other camps. Approximately 400m from other sites. We like to camp with room too! All sites are fenced off with a gate to drive in and keep the cattle out.
Please select a site for more detailed description on what to expect and the extras it offers. Selecting a site will show more accurate photos of that particular location instead of every photo found here.
Pets welcome however must remain on leash or tether
*Please notify us if bringing a dog*
Please clean up after your dog ready for the next camper.
Fires permitted only in fire-rings provided. Check for local fire ban restrictions first.
There is plenty of wood lying around for use (bring your axe or saw).
Things to do
- Send some golf balls into space
-The creek is seasonal, only flowing after good rain. It will dry up in some conditions. Swimming in the water holes is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks
-Brisbane river is up the road (10mins) to Savages crossing or Twin Bridges. Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water.
-Push bikes,
Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also.
-Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports
-Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye
-Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :)
-Take it easy.
