There are miles of walking trails nearby, or it could be a basecamp to explore the greater South Pass area.Campsite is situated in South Pass City just outside the actual historic site. Campsite At South Pass City

Great spot. We found out about South Pass City only because we booked this site. It was close to some houses, so provided feeling of safety, but was nice and quiet. Walk the historic site and trails right from the camp site.
