JMA Campground is located about 15 minutes west of Riverton, Wyoming. Outstanding views of the Wind River Mountain Range and the Owl Creek Mountain Range. We do not have trees or green grass - bring your own shade. LOL We have 30 and 50 amp RV sites (each site has water) along with primitive tent sites. Amenities at the park include WiFi, fire pits, firewood, shower and restroom facilities, picnic areas, trash services and a RV dump station available for $15. Visitors can take advantage of the various outdoor activities such as basketball, hiking, biking and stargazing. Our campers enjoy our quiet solitude - we're not located along a busy noisy highway! Jim and I established our place in 1983. We produced team ropings and barrel racing jackpots for nearly 40 years - we no longer produce rodeo events (due to health). In 2017, we decided to share our property with campers - we have cherished each and every moment - we have made so many friends!  From the JMA Campground, it is 50 miles to Thermopolis (hot springs, whitewater rafting, fishing, buffalo, dinosaur museum, etc.); 60 miles to the National Military Museum in Dubois; 130 miles to the South Entrance of Grand Teton National Park; 45 miles to Lander; 70 miles to South Pass City - many other local attractions.

Our guests enjoy lots of space and privacy. Our place is very quiet with great views of the Wind River Mountain range and the Owl Creek Mountain range. We are located 160 miles from Jackson and only 50 miles from Thermopolis Hot Springs and the Wind River Canyon. Wifi included, fire pits and firewood available, shower and restroom, plenty of room to hike. Jim and I (Paulette) broke ground in 1983 with the intent to host jackpot team roping, calf roping and barrel racing events of all sizes. We no longer produce events (due to health issues) so we decided to share our space with campers. We have 250 acres and we are located just far enough off the beaten path that our guests can enjoy our quiet, peaceful, private place. Occasionally, we will have a campfire in front of our house - everyone is always welcome (no invitation needed).

If you're looking for a unique stay - you've come to the right place. The JMA Granary is quiet, cozy and comfortable! The restroom and shower at the JMA Crows Nest is just a short walk. For those 'middle of the night' bathroom needs, we have a nice port-a-potty in the outhouse, next to the Granary. Your nearest neighbors are a few chickens, ducks, rabbits and a horse named Whiskey. The granary is 15' in diameter, has air conditioning and heat. Very limited wifi inside.

Take a step back in time! Welcome to our Bunkhouse! Enjoy all the comforts of modern day in our authentic old west decor. Rest assured you will enjoy our quiet, private space (our nearest neighbors are 1/2 mile away). We're just off the path, to or from the Jackson Hole area. Fully equipped kitchen, comfy king size and queen size bed, large bathroom w/4' walk in shower, stackable washer/dryer. Kitchen/Living area is open - new 53" ROKU TV, DVD movies, wifi, 4 burner Cuisinart gas grill on our 8' wide by 55' long deck. The Alpine Inn 5th Wheel Camper has lots of space inside and out! It has everything you'll need for a comfortable stay. Guests can enjoy their own private campfire (firewood and complimentary Smore's provided). Stunning views of the Wind River Mountain Range to the West and the Owl Creek Mountain Range to the North. We are located just off the beaten path - so you can rest assured it will be quiet, private and safe. Plenty of room to roam with or without your furry friends (dogs are welcome).

The Granary was exactly what I wanted for a few days of disconnecting and relaxing. Jim and Paulette were very accommodating and just really nice people. If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely stay there.

We had a wonderful stay at the campground. Jim and Paulette were very welcoming! We highly recommend watching the sunset there and do some stargazing! Wish we had more time to hang out with the animals and play the various lawn games. We would definitely come back!

This was a nice laid back rest stop for me for a few days. I enjoyed watching the sunrises and sunsets, and the amazing star filled sky on a clear night! I even saw a shooting star! The rabbits, raccoons, horses , and lamb were great neighbors. Overall a very peaceful break from the hubbub of the world.

Everything was super easy! Paulette was incredibly helpful, provided us with an extra chair, a torch, bug spray, and plenty of firewood. The land was awesome, animals around for easy viewing, and the night sky was even better. Would definitely recommend!

I booked kind of late, but Paulette reached out and walked me through the campsite to ensure we were able find a location that fit our needs. This campsite was perfect. It was safe, quiet, and had all the amenities we needed to be comfortable. I would recommend Jim and Paulette’s land to future campers 100%! They also have farm animals, huge perk!

We loved camping with Jim and Paulette. We had our 39ft fifth wheel and had no trouble getting it in and set up. Paulette gave us site options which was really nice. The views were absolutely stunning and my daughter loved the pup and lamb that roamed around. We were sad we were only there one night, but we will definitely return!

After a previous night’s stay at a horrendous Hip Camp, Jim & Paulette have rekindled our spirits! Their place is very conveniently located, extremely clean, highly maintained, & very well-kept. It is quiet, and everyone is pleasantly friendly. Both the regular bathroom with a normal flush toilet & the outhouse are clean and comfortable, as is the hot shower which felt fantastic after long travels. As advertised, this was previously a rodeo entity, and thus the decor tastefully reflects the history. There is plenty of sunshine, & campers are spaced to provide a bit of privacy for each rather than being packed in like sardines. As some very personable campers gathered around a group campfire safely located and surrounded by small stone, Harvey the lamb and puppy Susie provided funny entertainment for all of us. Grizzly, the owners’ friendly dog, happily greeted us upon arrival and came for a welcome, invited visit thereafter. Whether campers just need a place to sleep on their way through the area or are seeking a multiple night stay to explore nearby offerings, Jim Moss Arena is safe, immaculately maintained, and quiet to provide a great night’s sleep. If our travels would take us to the area again, we would definitely consider staying there again. Clean, maintained, friendly, safe, quiet, and animal-friendly, what more could we ask for? Thank you, Jim & Paulette!

We LOVED everything about the Jim Moss Arena Camping! Contact with Paulette/Jim before the trip was easy, and Paulette reached out the day of arrival to make sure everything was going smoothly. We were WARMLY greeted when we arrived, received an efficient yet friendly rundown of the camp, and were left to a wonderful stay! My daughter and I are camping across the country and feeling safe is really important and we felt very safe here. We can’t wait to come back again! Thanks for a really amazing stay!

we did this special rental to make it special for our grand daughter. she had a fantastic time with the roasting of marshmallows and loved seeing all the animals. the host was also very friendly and helpful.

Perfect place to stay for the night, power, water, bathrooms and a shower. Make sure you pet the dogs after they help you park! Keep an eye out for the antelope as well.
