Site 1 - The Landing
Spent a few nights here in late March and absolutely loved it! The land is beautiful, there's a phenomenal view of Mt. Index, the host was awesome, cleanest bathroom I've seen at a camp ground, HUGE fire pit with plenty of seating a cozy areas to place a tent. Will definitely be coming back!

Site 2 - The Landing
Beautiful views of the river and a snow-capped Mt. Index with the smell of crisp air. Each campsite is well-maintained with their own assigned outhouse. Picnic tables are robust and large. Mobile reception is 1-2 bars at best but able to send out texts/make phone calls. David is superbly accommodating and communicative. Loved the experience!

Amazing
Host was very responsive and helped us navigate to certain areas of site 1 whenever we had trouble. (The site itself is easy to get to). In the morning we went to the river, which was only a few steps away from our site, and the views were amazing. I definitely recommend to stay here.

Site 3 - The Landing
Spacious, Clean and Beautiful
We needed a place to stay for one night on our way to see our kids. We have a truck mounted camper and typically camp in uncrowded, end of the road, non designated spots. We needed a for sure place and so we booked a spot. We were surprised and delighted at the space of each site. The whole place is clean with large table and a fire pit. We were impressed at the thought David has put into this entire camp. The fees may be higher and you get what you pay for.

Personal Outhouse !!
The site was exceptionally beautiful. The view of the mountains and sound of the water were a beautiful backdrop to the experience. The personal outhouse was the cherry on top!! As well as the fact that there was a good distance between us and the other campers. We also got to say hi to David and he is lovely. 10/10 would recommend you visit The Landing.

Fantastic camping spot!
I spent a couple nights in Site 4 and had a great time with my friends and family. I highly recommend staying here! Great river access and scenic views all around. Very close to Seattle area and local businesses are close by and not too far in case you need something during your trip. I DO recommend a high clearance AWD vehicle for these camping spots.. a regular sedan or a lowered vehicle will have a hard time accessing the main entrance.

Great spot, close to the river! Smoke was quite bad this time of year but not David's fault. Love the quality of the picnic table and fit pit (even though couldn't use). Great outhouse with proper cleaning and sanitization supplies. Thank you!

Beholding beauty
On the south fork of the Skykomish, in the shadow of Mt. Index, this is a stunning series of sites, impeccably kept. A short walk to a beach and Boulder garden reveals the full scope of surroundings, including Coho salmon spawning. A respite in the eddy before the last gasp of life in the largest movement of biomass in this ecosystem - salmon upstream. The only sadness on this particular weekend was playing ‘smoke dodge ball’ due to fires to the east, and therefore the burn ban on recreational fires. Host is a very good communicator. Composting toilet in puts house an added bonus.

Wishing the campsite well!
Unfortunately we did not get a chance to visit what looks to be a beautiful campground! The Bolt Creek Fire led to our booking being cancelled. The host was prompt in letting us know of the danger and in refunding our trip (unfortunately Hipcamp takes a cut out of the refund!). I am wishing the hosts well and hope that their spot remains untouched by the fire. I look forward to visiting another time!

Site 1 - The Landing
Private and Beautiful!
We stayed at campsite 1 for 4 nights and it was a beautiful spot! There was a huge stone fire pit, charcoal grill, gigantic picnic table, 2 Adirondack chairs, and a huge wooden log bench perfect for stargazing. The site is huge with parking for 3 cars. We had 2 large tents and you could fit more, but the ground is uneven in spots with a rocky drive area, so smaller tents or maybe 3 max. Dave even put lines for hanging clothes and a line to hook up the dog to of needing to leash up. The outhouse is private to campsite 1 and is super nice! Equipped with sanitizers, TP, and has a light inside activated when the door opens. There are several access points to the river within 20-30ft so easy to setup chairs below and hang out all day close to camp. We saw eagles, herons, and heard owls at night across the river. The train sounds are lovely and the view spectacular. Definitely a car with higher clearance is ideal. It gets very dark at night and the campsite is large, so we were glad we had battery powered string LED lights to hang around different trees and areas around the site to make getting to the outhouse a bit easier. We will definitely be back!!

This was magic!
The river is my most favorite spot in Washington + david turned it into a dream come true for me!
Clean + spacious campsites!
The trail down to the beach is all sand which makes it feel a bit tropical.
And the fact that he brought sand down to the river to make it more beach like made this jersey girl v happy! Not to mention toddler friendly !!
I will be coming back for years to come !
