Sunsets Forest beauty Learn more about this land: LoneTree was once a 40 acre red angus beef farm. In the 40’s it was split into 2 20 acre parcels. We now run mainly cows and horses on the property but, have had everything from llamas, skunks, and goats. We logged some of the property about 2 years ago and come to find out we have a hidden paradise on the top of the mountain! We are centrally located and there is lots to do within driving distance if you choose to explore outside of camp. Mt. Baker area offers skiing and hiking which is about an hours drive. Silver Lake is 15-20 minutes drive which offers hiking trails, fishing and canoeing. There are tons of lakes in and around Bellingham as well which is only 30 minutes away by car. You will get to experience the best views of the Canadian mountains from the camp sites. Amazing sunsets. Incredible sunrises the peek over the mountain as well.Very quite and serene place nestled in the woods. We welcome all pets but, will need prior notice as we have pets as well. .

Sunset Paradise

Lovely site above Sumas, WA

Krystal's Sunset Paradise was just that -- a lovely quiet spot atop a mountain with gorgeous sunset views. My husband and I booked the site hoping to catch the aurora borealis event that weekend. Unfortunately, clouds moved in so no northern lights sighting for us. However, we did disconnect, unwind and relax which was a nice aside. The campsite is very private/secluded. It has a fire pit, but that's pretty much it. Water is available, but we brought our own. If you're looking for a quiet spot to get away from the world I would certainly recommend Sunset Paradise.

Family camping!

Krystal was an exceptional host. More than gracious to us. We felt very welcome and she was ready to help us with anything we needed. Most accommodating. The land was great. The view was incredible, even on a cloudy, rainy two days. The drive up to the lookout where we camped was a little steep but we made it just fine in a 2WD 4Runner with mud tires. I'd say it's accessible to most trucks or SUVs but I can definitely see where probably some small cars might have an issue. Maybe not though if it's dry. We would highly recommend this to anyone (we're a family of three), families included. We'll be back for sure and for longer than one night as there are a lot of trails and things to explore as well as another big lookout.

Quiet privacy on Memorial Day

My family and I wanted to be all alone for Memorial Day. Not a crowded campground with someone else every 50 feet. That's exactly what we found. A one and only site on a hill with beautiful views, with room for 1 tent, 1 hammock and 1 family. It's a dry site up a fairly steep road. So bring a all wheel drive vehicle, your own water, and a portable toilet. What you receive in return is quiet, privacy and amazing views of Sumas, Abbotsford and the Canadian Rockies.
