Nichelle was very friendly and helped find a site that worked for is with a boat in tow. She sent info on thing in the area The site was clean and beautiful surrounded by trees with views of then ocean from the top sites which we walked to for sunset. We will definitely stay again !

Nichelle is such a sweet and caring host! She communicates well and helped our group choose the best site for our needs. We stayed in the upper level campsites and they had a lovely view and lots of room. The potty tents are great and there was a handwashing station that was awesome. It was so easy to get to Bowman Bay, Rosario Beach, all of Deception Pass State Park and Anacortes from the campsite.

This was a beautiful campsite, located close to both Rosario Beach and Deception Pass. We had complete privacy at Campsite 7. The host goes above and beyond to welcome you the property and she even has the option to have potable water and fresh eggs waiting for you at arrival. Overall, a really good experience with our family.

This Hipcamp is probably not the best for trailers or Sprinters. Our 24’ Airstream Interstate on a MB 3500 chassis was really too large to maneuver on the steep gravel road leading to the parking pads. The pads were small and sloped; not level enough even with our hydraulic jacks. We literally drove up to the top looking for our unmarked campsite, spoke with the camp host, tediously turned around on what was a 20° slope, carefully picked our way back down the hill, stopped and examined our designated site, and drove away. We did not spend the night and walked away the two days of fees. IMO this Hipcamp is far better suited for primitive tent camping. If the local State Parks have availability, they would be preferable. We’ve camped all throughout the US from WA to Nova Scotia; throughout the SE and SW…this was clearly one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve had.

Nichelle was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Showed us around to each campsite that was available and described the different benefits of each one. We paid for a bundle of firewood in advance, and then there were fire restrictions. Nichelle immediately refunded the cost of the firewood. Highly recommend this lovely spot. We decided to sleep in the back of our truck and watched the meteor shower. Pretty unbelievable! A little bit of road noise at the spot we chose, which was number seven, but overall it was perfect. The bathroom accommodation was really convenient right at the campsite and private.

Our host was very friendly. Sites had fantastic views but weren’t accessible without walking through other campsites. Access to bathroom facilities was lacking but we knew it would be. It seemed like another camp had ‘claimed’ the privacy tent we were supposed to use the bathroom in.

We were on an adventure and Nichelle’s property was just what we were looking for! Close to whale watching, Deception Pass views and a treat from m the fighter jets! She thought of every convenience for a camper!

Overall we made the best of our experience. Unfortunately, the sites were not as described in the posting. The first site we were assigned was literally a dirt pad next to a driveway with a row of cars. The other site we asked to switch to was a little better but the ground was very lumpy and we had to walk through another campsite to use the bathroom tent. Like literally step over their tent to access it. This campground had very little privacy and wasn’t at all what I expected. The 6 sites on the upper level are just all next to each other and basically on a driveway. I won’t be returning and would sadly not recommend this site to other campers.

It was great camping this year and we were glad to give Rosario Camp RV a try even though it didnt have descent toilets. After all, its camping. We used the toilets in state parks. The sites we had were perfect! We got to watch the meteor showers! We had neighbors but we werent bothered by them. Nichelle is a great host, thank you Nichelle!

While this spot is conveniently located near the popular Deception pass research center and beach access, we cannot recommend this as a campsite. We did not stay as it was a very undeveloped gravel road with a tiny and cheap picnic table, right next to the main access roads to the popular park. There was no shade and it was a hot summer day. The host did not come down to greet us and our phone access was limited so the communication was delayed. There appeared to be a pop up one person privy tent set up. We arrived and turned around and left to find something more developed. Perhaps this is a very new camp set up, but it left a lot to be desired. We had no trouble finding something more inviting. Sadly, we cannot recommend this at this time. I hope they improve the accomodations.

Nichelle(our host) was very nice. Took care of our big family, gave us the best sites possible.
Sites 4-5-6. If you have a big group, this is perfect. Pretty much on top of the hills. Restroom situation was a bit rough but some used the bathrooms in nearby state parks since we had discover passes.
We got to watch the meteor ☄️ showerson final night and it is probably best sites to be in. It was a beauty. We will come back again to camp 4-5-6.

Pros: Nichelle was very responsive and helpful, pretty views, location was AWESOME - close to beauty around every corner, very clear rules are set for the campground so there's no ambiguity there. Cons: The sites at the lower and mid level are so close to the dirt road and get covered with dust as people drive up and down. And there were a lot of cars. Many of the sites at the upper level are EXTREMELY close together, several with ZERO separation. Like people walking through each other's camp sites b/c there is no alternative. They are not level - fire pits on slopes, picnic tables leveled on rocks, etc. Host sent me a photo of our spot before we arrived which showed our picnic table and a lovely view. By the time all campers arrived for the weekend, there were 6 tents between our table and the view. I had no idea that was even an option and would not have booked had I known. It was difficult to park b/c there was so many people and no assigned spots, for cars or for RVs. Because there were so many people in such close quarters, some dogs were very upset/overwhelmed (mine included) which caused a ton of barking and stress - one dog barked for hours. We made the best of it and enjoyed our weekend near Deception Pass, but would not stay here again. If you don't mind the close quarters, it truly is a great location.

Nichelle was very welcoming and accommodating for our last minute reservation. The lower sites get a lot of road traffic as they are pretty close to the road to the top of the property. The sites are great, but they are not all perfectly level just like she advertises. The proximity of the camp site to the tourist-y sites is wonderful. We were very close to everything we wanted to do

Beautiful location and lovely and gracious host. Easy walk to Rosario Beach. Campsites are small and close together. We were on the lower level and our neighbors shared 2 compact sites with 10 or so people and two dogs. While we appreciated their enthusiasm to be together outdoors in such a lovely space, it was hard to sleep with their late night and again early am conversation and move about our campsite with the dogs barking at us. On booking, maybe request a site with a small number of neighbors.

Nichelle was great. Super quick to respond to any inquiries as well as helpful in suggesting the perfect site for our family of three and rented 2wd campervan. She was accommodating even when a missed ferry delayed our arrival by over five hours.
The way Nichelle has tirelessly worked to develop the property shows with each campsite well thought out and given quaint appointments like dried flowers in vases to give it a homey feel.
We chose the spot at the top and were NOT disappointed! The views were spectacular and we even enjoyed watching the Navy jets running drills off in the distance. The real gem was the sunset with a nearly 270 degree view. We would definitely go back.
Lastly, we weren’t able to enjoy the eggs and firewood that Nichelle had prepared for us due to shear exhaustion, but amazingly Nichelle was quick to send a us a little note to let us know that she refunded the additional cost. A+!

The view was beautiful. We were initially surprised at how many cars and camping groups there were but we felt like we had our own space and the other campers were all super respectful. Nichelle was super personable and easy to communicate with.

Our group had an amazing time at this hipcamp, clean campsites and amazing veiws paired with a wonderful host allowed our group to have one of the best camping trips so far. Our one gripe is the state of the bathrooms, which were a lined bucket in a pop up tent, but there were other facilities nearby. Overall amazing time regardless

We loved staying at Nichelle’s property! She communicated well and met us to show us to our campsite on the upper level. We had great views of the water and enjoyed watching and listening to all the birds, as well all the planes taking off from the Naval Base. My kids had a great time picking fresh berries around the campsite and staying up late to watch the shooting stars, great spot for stargazing. The location is amazing, right across from Rosario Beach where we explored tide pools, played on the beach and saw elephants seals, also very close to Deception Pass. We loved our visit and would stay again!
