All around a great experience. Kids enjoyed the open field, goats, and swings. Good location with easy access to boat launch, public beach, and downtown. Thanks Ginger!

Good Vashon launching pad
A great spot to explore Vashon from, and a short drive from beaches and town. I'd recommend it especially for a family with kids under 5 that wanted a safe place and some access to play structures. The camping sites don't have very much privacy, so I wouldn't recommend it for a secluded getaway, or if you plan to stay at the camp site most of the time. Amenities were clean, communication was great.

Wonderful place!
This is an awesome space, with trees grassy areas and lots of choices about where to set up. Composting toilet worked great and having water available was nice to gracious folks and I would definitely stay here again!

Ginger's place was simple and peaceful. She is a great host. It was perfect for our Sprinter van. We parked looking out over a pasture with the two mischievous goats. They are very friendly and funny adding to our trip. Our dogs loved the place too.

Good spot for rooster noise lovers
The land itself was nice. The new tiny house things they are building look cool. Vashon is Vashon. Hosts were super nice. Biggest issue for me was the noise. There are a pair of roosters brooding over a big flock of hens immediately next to our site, one of which was a very noisy rooster. Also traffic on the road and dogs barking and even air traffic out of SeaTac.

Peace, nature & relaxation
What a memorable stay! We wanted to disconnect from the city and take our van into nature and are sooo glad to have found Vashon Roots! Ginger was so hospitable and gave us great hiking & island view point recommendations (the bluffs were amazing!). The property is breathtaking and very spacious. We enjoyed using the fire pit and we were so stoked to meet the goats Doug & Ernie. Vashon Roots exceeded our expectations and we can’t wait to make another trip back soon! Thanks again Ginger!
