Come visit the breathtaking views of the Shenandoah Valley. Enjoy this quaint camping site located on Middle River in Staunton, Virginia. This site offers an exceptional place to fish, kayak, bike on farm roads, view wildlife or take a scenic walk to view the mountains and working farm. The valley is alive with history, culture, breweries and wineries to explore within a 15 to 25 minute drive. In addition to the onsite amenities, the following will also be provided; Coleman camp stove (includes gas), fire wood, pillows, sheets and blankets for one queen size bed and lanterns. Our property currently has two camping site locations. Sites are approximately 200 yards apart. This allows each camper their own privacy but also gives families and friends a location to enjoy within walking distance of each other. (Sites cannot be seen from one another). Not provided: kayak, fishing gear or bikes. The site is along Middle River with pleanty of room, while being very secluded for everything. You can drive to the camp and park beside the tent. Nice quite place to spend time with family or friends.

Honeysuckle Hideaway
One of the best campsites in Virgin
Honeysuckle getaway was such a well thought out and serene camping spot. James truly provides a slice of heaven on his farm showcasing Shenandoah valley’s beauty. The campsite is set up with a glamping tent complete with a bed, blankets, lamps, games, and local information pamphlets. The outside has a swing chair, kitchen area with a stove, gas canisters, cooking utensils, and more! The fire pit also has chairs and citronella candles for the mosquitoes. The porta potty was spotless as well. The whole site is curated towards an easy camping experience surrounded by beautiful nature and within steps of the river. We fully enjoyed our experience as a group of friends and will be back! Thanks to James.

Honeysuckle Hideaway
Picturesque Family-Friendly Spot!
The Host, Mr. Wenger, or "Farmer James" as my boys and I call him, was great! He is very kind, helpful, and welcoming. This is a family-owned farm, and what a blessing to witness the integrity of it all as a guest. The place is beautiful and other-worldly- from the drive leading up to it, to the campsite itself. This being our second time here, I can confidently say its my favorite camping spot! Can't ask for more... quiet and relaxing river that borders his picturesque farm.... rolling hills and pastures well-maintained and home to cattle (and lots of whitetail that like to graze in the evenings!). Also lots of fun things to do. Outdoors, there are trails to walk (that James has thoughtfully mowed), a river to swim in and also inner tubes to float it, and crawfish to catch! Indoors, there was a bin under the bed with lots of games my kids enjoyed - like checkers, Uno, cards, 'velcro catch' and more The toilet situation is also just fine! There is a compost toilet housed in a porta-potty that was very clean and easy to use, and also a toilet option in the tent. Also just wanted to thank James for coming to my aid when I got hurt with some aid and ice (not his fault, but he made himself readily available to help)! I will certainly be back next year.

Honeysuckle Hideaway
This is a very special place. Even more tranquil and beautiful than the photos show. The grass is lush, the river is pristine, and the site is well-appointed without being overdone. Comfortable bed with sheets and plenty of blankets, great fire pit with comfortable chairs, outhouse, and some basic cooking supplies. I love that there is a food prep table and then a separate eating table. It’s quiet and private, far from the home(s) on the property and the one other campsite. James and Lynn were welcoming and made us feel comfortable right away. Highly recommend this site.
