The house sits on 6 acres, and was originally build my Margaret Scott in 1934. We have renovated the house, and are currently reclaiming the farm land. Our goal is to have a small working farm with a variety of animals, fruits, and pants.

Dry Branch
Campsite is nice and easy to find. Firewood is available. Site is walking distance to the Chessie Nature Trail (via McKethan Park), which was a beautiful trail running along the Maury river. Site is a little close to the road. Though it's not a busy road, there is the occasional traffic at night. There are two campfire sites, one is close to the firewood but also the host's residence, while the other is across the bridge and is a little more secluded. It's a choice between convenience and privacy. Dirk and his family were wonderful and offered us eggs from their chickens. Overall it was a great experience.

Dry Branch
Great location
Great location, easy drive to Lexington if you need anything but also rural enough to enjoy nature and get out of the city. Close to Natural bridge, local vineyards, and hiking.

Dry Branch
Dirk and Chrissy were gracious hosts. They are a wealth of information about local hiking trails and recreation. They have a beautiful property and I felt safe and cared for while I was there. Thanks!!

Dry Branch
Great place to camp!!!
Great place to camp!!! Dry Branch is right off of Rt. 81 only a few minutes from the exit which was perfect for me to stop for the night with out loosing much time the next day on my way to TN. Nice ground to set up your tent right next to a small stream which made for a wonderful night's rest with the sound of water in the backround. The camp host Dirk was very nice, welcoming and also quick to point out an overlook to watch the sun set which was so worth the short hike behind camp up the hill....trust me don't miss out on the view! After the sun went down I took advantage of the fire pit and enjoyed some caveman T.V. before hitting the rack to get back on the road in the morning. With tons of outdoor activities and trails right around the corner you could spend a weekend exploring and adventuring which wasn't in the catds for me this time but I plan to make another visit to do so in the near future. Definitely recommend Dry Branch for an overnighter or a weekend andventure. Thanks for the great experience Dirk!
