The perfect way to escape the heat of summer, and the crowds of Zion National Park. Kolob Campground, Kolob Terrace Road, and Kolob Reservoir is a quiet location nestled between the main canyons of Zion National Park and the remote Kolob Finger Canyons Complex at Zion National Park. With quick access to West Rim Trail, Subway Canyon, Hop Valley Trail, and Wildcat Canyon Trail, this area of Greater Zion is not to be missed.   Located in a private gated area on the shores of Kolob Reservoir, Kolob Campground is the premiere location for camping on Kolob Mountain in the Greater Zion National Park area.  Kolob Campground is located adjacent to the Kolob Reservoir boat ramp and dock, including four acres of private shoreline. Just a few feet from the paved road, nestled in tall aspen, oak, and pine trees.  Access to potable water is available adjacent to camp, and public restrooms (vault toilets) are only a short walk from camp. WiFi access is available nearby at Kolob Adventure Rentals/Adventure Beach (3 minute walk). WiFi location and password provided by host upon request. This is an exclusive benefit available to our guests, and the only WiFi available to campers in the area. Canoe, kayak and SUP rentals, snacks and beverages are also located nearby.  LP(propane) fires are allowed and LP fire bowls can be provided through the camp host. LP fuel is also available for purchase. Wood burning, charcoal, and smoking currently not allowed due to area restriction.

Site 2 Large Site Tent / Lg RV
This was our fourth visit to this site in the last five years and as always the host was amazing at communicating with us and making sure our visit went smoothly. We really love the area with the trees and the reservoir and nearby hiking trails, it really is a perfect place to camp. There's wifi at the site that provides just enough service to send texts, which is also convenient. We were thrilled to come back after a year of not being able to, however, we were super sad when we arrived to find that a number of trees at the site we've been frequenting had been cut down. Our group largely prefers hammocks over tents for summer camping and unfortunately the removal of the trees made that impossible for us this year. I'm sure there was a good reason for cutting the trees down, but it was still a bummer. We scoped out some other sites, and there were some decent prospects, but none quite as good as the previous cluster in site 2.

Site 11 Tent/Van . No Shade.
Soooooo quiet. The site is beautiful. 100 degrees at the bottom of the hill but up there it was 20 degrees cooler. The “lake” is an easy paddle. Took my kayak out at 6AM. Will definitely be back.

Site 21 Tent or Large RV
What a great campground! Site 21 was very private and a close walk to the bathroom. A short walk down the road to lake access for swimming/kayaking. The lake was beautiful and calm. We had a great day taking a break from hiking and kayaking around. There is potable water close by at the boat ramp. The restrooms are portapotties, but fairly clean considering. Norm from the rental shop was super welcoming and ready to help with anything we needed.

Site 12 Tent or Small RV/Van
Highly Recommended
Great environment, awesome weather. Lake was exhilarating! Some overgrown bush and unmanaged grounds, but, hey... this is camping. It is what you're supposed to expect. Host checked on us every few hours to reassure campers were fine. Site was great and all of the other neighboring areas provided for efficient space. We will definitely enjoy more experiences in the near future.
Location
Virgin, Washington, Utah, United StatesTraditional, ancestral territory of Nuwuvi (Southern Paiute) and Pueblos First Nations according to To respect the Host's privacy, the precise address of this land will be provided after booking
