Site 7 The sunset view site
Love this place. Great location
Great large campsite areas to yourself so private. Good facilities with fridge hot shower and clean toilet whilst remaining rustic and characterful in communal area. Woody brewing shed and bar is something else. We love it. Sadly Woody normally only serves beer at weekend and we were unaware of this and disappointed. This campsite is very close to the Frio river and beautiful Garner state park. We had great long daytrip there and loved the trails and swimming. Would recommend particularly weekends if you partake in home brew !!

UTOPIA
Last weekend, my friends and I had the pleasure of staying at Seco Ridge Campgrounds, and it turned out to be a fantastic getaway! Upon arrival, we were greeted by Woody, the host, who was exceptionally welcoming and hospitable. His friendliness set a positive tone for the weekend. Despite some rain, our spirits weren’t dampened. In fact, the rain made the live music sessions even more memorable, as everyone gathered under the shelter, creating a cozy and communal atmosphere. The bands were amazing, playing a variety of genres that had something for everyone. One of the highlights was the locally brewed beer available at the campsite. It was a great way to taste the local flavors and enjoy some truly unique brews that you wouldn’t find in your average store. The conversations with other campers, coupled with good beer and great music, made for an engaging and joyful environment. Overall, Seco Ridge Campgrounds provided a perfect blend of nature, entertainment, and hospitality. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great camping experience with a bit of a twist. We’ll definitely be back for more of their live music weekends!

Site 6 The sunrise view site
This was a nice change of pace from camping at regular state parks. It was only 20 minutes away from Lost Maples and Garner State Park. Campsites were spaced very far apart. The outdoor kitchen came in handy throughout our stay. The host and his wife were really wonderful people to talk to and I enjoyed hearing some of their story. Woody is a brewer and setup a great little nano brewery with a cozy hangout area right next to their Bunkhaus. Every Saturday, locals from town gather and play music and drink beers. Woody has a good singing voice too! We stayed at camp site #6 where we got to watch sunrise just by opening the window in our tent. I’d highly recommend trying this place out. Especially since the state parks away seem to be completely booked most weekends!

Ridge Site
Family Camping Tradition
We love this place, and Woody is a great host! This was our third time with our kids (10 and 12 now). We've been at site 7 a couple of times and loved it. This time we were at the ridge site and also really enjoyed it. It was closer to the common area, and we enjoyed the live music and brewery Saturday night. We enjoyed having a spot to ourselves while cooking dinner and relaxing in our hammocks that night, and everything shut down at a reasonable hour. We went to Garner one day and Lost Maples the next. Super convenient location for parks and close to the Utopia general store for any forgotten or last minute items. The view of the stars was fantastic. We set our tent up under the open air one. Kids rode their bikes exploring and loved checking out the property. Can't wait to go back again!

PERFECT PLACE TO CAMP IN HILL COUNT
Seco Ridge Campground, Site 7 was just want the doctor ordered! Soul food! Site 7 sits on its own mound, surrounded by trees, yet fully visible to the celestial bodies, with a sweet spot to view sunsets, just a few steps away. Perfect site for our tent scenario. Woody & Elaine have created a lovely, quiet, restful & inclusive funky sanctuary in Hill Country. Site 7 was just a 3 minute walk to the communal area (kitchen, bathhouse, and firepit) or a quick blaze down the path in your vehicle, allowing you to create as much privacy as you wish, or be as social as you want to be. Several state park options with swimming holes nearby. We had a great time and are thankful for Woody & Elaine's kindness and attentiveness. We wish them immense success with the campground and beyond!

All around amazing!!!
Absolutely stunning place to stay. Even the drive in was stunning. Super comfortable and the stars were such a show. The sunrise was spectacular as well. The hot shower was such a treat after a long day of hiking in Garner. Couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable place to stay. I will definitely be coming back to this beautiful place.
