12 acres hosted by Shawn S.
12+ acres of gently rolling biologically diverse Deep East Texas hills along the northern gateway to the Greater Big Thicket region. Approximately half an hour to Lake Livingston, Martin Dies Jr. and Sam Rayburn. Many other parks, preserves and forest surround the area. The camp is private and the only thing you can see beside the highway along the northern border is my own camp residence in the interior. You can pretty much pick and carve out your own campground within designated areas. 4 wheel drive is recommended to drive to the back when it is wet otherwise you can pull in and hike to the tent sites in the back. Only one party per time and target practice, hunting, dogs on leashes, horses, and atvs on the trails are all allowed when used and kept responsibly according to Texas law. Workcamping opportunities may be possible for the right people after your initial paid stay, but I am very picky and don't like people who get easily butthurt.
