This glamping tent boasts a secluded location on six acres of land in Thorn Hill, Tennessee, and provides an off-the-grid experience in nature for up to four glampers. The tent is spacious and features a queen-size bed and two floor mattresses, with quality linen and pillows, as well as a wood-burning fireplace for those chilly winter months. There is an on-demand hot water shower and a composting toilet nearby. Towels are also provided. After discovering the nearby waterfalls, glampers can return to the comfort of the glamping site. The tent interior is cozy and boasts comfortable seating, where glampers can read a book while listening to the sounds of the outdoors. In the morning, a simmering cup of coffee, hot off the fire, is the perfect way to kick-start the day, while evenings are reserved for rustic cooking and making s’mores on the fire pit. The deck is the ideal spot to catch up over a glass of wine as the sun sets behind the trees.

Potential but missing the mark
The tent was fine and the bed comfortable however the shower instructions were not clear enough and thus we could not use it. Another disruptive factor was that the zips on the tent did not function correctly. Furthermore, the advertisement says there is a gate with a code when you arrive to the property, which was one of the appealing factors to us, but when we arrived there was not such gate but just an open drive. When we tried to contact the host with questions about the shower and other clarifications, we could not get in touch with him at all. His phone did not even ring out it was as though the number did not work. The area was extremely remote, which was objectively pleasant, however paired with the late night driving of neighbors, it made for a restless night. Overall it did not feel like an entirely safe property based on the traffic around the area and our inability to get in touch with the host.

Not quite what I expected
The directions to the location were not accurate. We also were unable to contact the host at all, and when we got there the tent was supposed to be set up for four people but only had one double bed. Luckily we were able to get a cot from the people staying next door. There was a lot of sound at night coming from a barking dog as well as cars driving up and down the road late at night. The composting toilet was just a trash bag in a bucket and seemed like it could at least have had some sort of disposal plan for it or sawdust in it. The shower was also not working even after we tried to get it going and read the instructions provided multiple times. Overall I would not stay here again.

A must try!
Secluded and a great place for a date weekend! Everything we could ever need was included and Cody even emailed a "travel guide" for us. The local food was great and the hike had phenomenal views.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!!
My wife and I wanted a weekend away from distractions where we could relax and enjoy each others company....THIS PLACE WAS PERFECT FOR THAT!!! We arrived at camp and were immediately amazed by the amenities provided (fire-pit, fire wood, cozy bed and chairs, camp grill, wood burning stove and heater inside the tent, and much much more!!). We HIGHLY recommend this for anyone looking to getaway for a weekend by themselves or with another couple (as there is a second tent about 70 yards away). Cody was a FANTASTIC host providing tips on things to do in the area and helping out pre-planning our trip. Cody took our small advise on changes to make and hopefully on our next visit we can add to others experiences by helping this location grow better and better (although it is already pretty great!). Check out our Instagram Post for Pictures of the location that we took while we were there! https://www.instagram.com/p/CIyWCzCH3wQ/
