The Wo-Ya BackCountry Camp Site
Beautiful camp with a great host!
This is such a cool spot! I booked last minute for Thanksgiving night and the host was out of town. But they were still very responsive and I had a blast! There is a large fire pit and multiple yurt sites. The best feature is the super friendly grey cat that came out of the woods and curled up on my lap by the fire. I can't wait to come back and try some of the extras they offer as well! The road in was steep and dirt but well maintained, 4wd certainly helps, but you don't need a big truck or anything like that. A Subaru could get in easily. Google maps took me right to the gate. I'd highly suggest the WA-YA yurt. It's up on a platform with a great view. The path/road around the camp is nicely lit at night. Can't wait to go back!!

The Yanasi Yurt near Dale Hollow
Fun experience!
This was my first time in a yurt and 10/10 would do again. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming. The view was amazing, and the yurt itself is nice too. My boyfriend and I had a great time for his birthday. Head their recommendation for an all wheel drive! His poor prius almost couldn't make it up the hills. If you have good tires you should be fine though :) I would come again if I happen to be in town another time.

Lone Wolf tent
Cool outpost on a hill near the lake, close to some beautiful lake views. Requires 4x4 or AWD to reach site. Tents are nice and bed was comfortable. Warm shower really helps. Only downside is the drive in and out, but not a problem if you don’t need to make trips out during the stay. Russ and Cindy were so kind and helpful.

The Yanasi Yurt near Dale Hollow
My hostess Cindy and Russ could not have been kinder! They really wanted to take care of me and ensure that I was having a great time. Cindy even made me a necklace that I will always cherish!
I loved my tent! So big and cozy! There was nothing that I needed! Was nice having a power bank to charge my phone and speaker.
I loved the quite time, outdoor shower and yoga… especially the “relaxation”
The drive up the hill had great views and was well worth it!
