Deer wander through at dawn, songbirds fill the air by day, and the clearing by the lone dogwood tree is perfect for stargazing at night. Whether you pitch a tent on one of our shaded pads or sway between trees in a hammock nook, you’ll find peace, privacy, and the simple beauty of the woods. 🌄 Campsite Options Shaded Tent Pads – Cleared, mostly level sites under the trees, each with its own rustic fire ring. Hammock Hideaways – Slightly sloped woodland nooks, ideal for hammock campers (BYO hammock/straps). The Dogwood Clearing – A unique open space for stargazing, picnics, or gathering around the fire. ----------------------------- 🔥 Amenities & Features Rustic Fire Rings at each site Eco-Friendly Composting Toilet (private outhouse, no porta-potties) Plenty of Shade under the canopy, with one open clearing for sunlight Wildlife: deer, songbirds, owls, and more Privacy: each site feels like its own little woodland nook ---------------------------- 🧭 Things to Know Primitive camping: No running water or electricity. Pack in, pack out. Firewood: Available on-site or gather from fallen wood. Toilet: Composting outhouse available, please follow posted instructions. With several flat, shaded areas, this site can comfortably fit up to 3 tents and accommodate 8–12 people. A rustic fire pit provides the perfect place to gather for meals, stories, and stargazing. The site also connects directly to the camp trail at both ends, offering easy access for exploring or moving between other parts of the retreat. Located in a central spot within the campground, Site 1 strikes the balance between convenience and privacy — close enough to everything, yet still tucked beneath the trees. Direct access to the camp trail makes it easy to explore the property and connect with other areas, while still feeling tucked away in its own private nook. It is a beautiful spot. Nice and quiet and relaxing. Will stay here every time we are in town. The hosts are amazing

My fiance' and I decided to try camping out since I had never pitched a tent and camped, it did rain the night we camped out. But to me it made the night better listening to the rain. It added to the romance. They supplied us with playing cards, two trash bags and a cute card with a bible verse! They were really sweet and just starting out. Just for reference it is behind their place of residence and it's very secluded. We seen deer. If you are looking for a perfect get away, and a little bit of nature and wildlife. This place is it! I totally would recommend.
