22 ft travel trailer
We absolutely loved our stay here! We have a 21 foot travel trailer with a 2 Wheel Dr. truck and we just followed the edge of the field to the left and all the way around to the flat spot in the corner. The view was amazing! Yes, there is a gas station in view, but you don’t even really see it if you position your camper to look out over the rolling hillside! And yes, there was traffic noise, but you can’t see the highway at all with the leaves on the trees. And honestly, we got used to the traffic noise. We didn’t even hear it after a while. We felt 100% safe here! And our beloved coon hound was delighted to be able to roam free! The stars at night were incredible! And Alyssa was very communicative and very nice! We will definitely be back!

Great stay. Will definitely be back when we come through again. Beautiful morning views but the stars at night were the best part. My Pups enjoyed running around. Alyssa communicated instructions very well.

Off-grid Truck Topper Camping

Beechgrove Battlefield Campground was the perfect off-grid truck topper camping location for a couple days of activities in Murfreesboro. Arriving at night, drove past the entrance at first looking for a sign that no longer seems to be there. Two very bright lights illuminate the gravel parking area, helped me recognize it from the gas station hilltop. There's a chain one has to unhook across the driveway entrance and no trespassing signs, so I was glad I had reviewed pics of the campground prior to arriving and was sure I was in the right place. There was a some highway noise from loud trucks and motorcycles at the gas station, but sound machine drowned most of that out. I will definitely stay here again when I need a good spot to camp at in the area. The gravel area had plenty of room and I was able to park so my truck leveled out okay. I deployed my 400 watt folding solar panels beside my truck on the side of my truck that was not visible from the highway so I could recharge my battery bank each morning before heading out (gave me sufficient charge to run A/C at night, much needed during heatwave). As the parking area is very visible from the road, I did not leave anything at camp each day when I wasn't there. If I was tent camping, I would have ventured back further in the field and left camp set up. May do that on another visit (want to come back to visit Stones River National Battlefield). Down road is a small Confederate cemetery & park with shelters & picnic tables.

This place was INCREDIBLE. Having the whole area to ourselves for the pups to run was fantastic. We even saw an armadillo! Theres a bit of freeway noise but no louder than our generator which we could run all night without bothering a soul. We would definitely stay here again!

We could not stay here and booked another place. It’s located right off the highway and the listing isn't joking that it’s across from the gas station. The gravel lot was mowed around enough for tents but nowhere else. If we were to brave driving up the hill we would’ve had to pitch tents in a 3ft high hayfield. We didn’t feel it was safe for our kids being next to a Highway and gas station over night. Might be ideal for an overnight stay in a camper.

2nd time here. Clean & accessible property that’s super easy to find. I tend to drive my SUV past the gravel RV pad (which is plenty big) & go to a moderately flat spot in the hills for car camping. If absolutely never hearing far away driving is a deal breaker than this may not be the one for you, but to me the the other plusses (mixed with a good price) outweigh any road noise. I’ll be back when it warms up

Loved staying at this property! I was alone with my two big dogs and felt secure and safe. Love the easy access to the market across the street. Even though it is close the the interstate, don’t let that deter you because the property is so peaceful and serene.

The rolling hills are lovely.. There is the large, gravel area right when you pull in off the road for an RV etc.. I suv camp so since I didn’t wanna be right next to the road, and prefer a grassy area, I gained permission to travel further back on the land to setup. The terrain was surprisingly smooth & really easy to slowly drive on in my 2wd.
Was great having that whole big property to scope out. Settling on a camp spot was half the fun.. It kinda had “The Sound of Music” vibes lol..
The ONLY thing you have to understand is that there is some highway noise, but I didn’t mind considering the price to stay, convenience of location, & amount of space. A big plus is how you have so much land all to yourself. I like open field camping when there’s no one else out there like that. It felt safe & chill.. I’ll be back
