Burning Skye Bluff Stunning sunset views high above the Sequatchie Valley drop behind the expansive and breathtaking Cumberland Plateau! Perched atop Suck Creek Mountain, Burning Skye Bluff is a quiet, mountaintop campsite where the sky seems to ignite at sunset. From this cliff-top, the land drops away into sweeping, unobstructed views of the Sequatchie Valley and the Cumberland Plateau, with golden hour stretching long and wide across the horizon. The site features a stone fire ring set right at the edge of the overlook — the perfect place to gather as daylight fades and the sky shifts from gold to ember to stars. On clear evenings, sunsets here are unforgettable, and after dark, the elevation brings cool breezes, deep quiet, and expansive stargazing. This is a peaceful, secluded spot designed for campers who want space, views, and stillness. It’s ideal for couples, solo travelers, photographers, or anyone looking to unplug and spend an evening watching the sky. Adventure Access! 4 wheel drive is required. The trek to this beautiful site is not for the faint of heart, yet undeniably worth every bit of effort (and fun) necessary to get there. The site is well suited for vehicle camping or minimalist setups. Come prepared, bring what you need, and settle in — the view does the rest.
