Lake Haven Family Campground is new in 2024. Overlooking Watauga Lake, and with amazing views of the mountains and sky, we currently have 8 back-in and 6 pull-through sites, all large sites with full hookups to accomodate any rig. A dog park was just enclosed, and an office and retail space, as well as laundry and baths are on the way! Our campground offers the perfect retreat for outdoor enthusiasts looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. Whether you enjoy fishing in the pristine waters of Watauga Lake, hiking through the forest trails or the Appalachian Trail, or simply relaxing by the campfire while gazing at the colorful sunset over the lake and surrounding mountains, our campground has something for everyone. With spacious RV sites, modern amenities, and friendly staff ready to assist you, your stay at Lake Haven Family Campground will be comfortable and memorable.     Chuck and Lynne were excellent hosts! Each site is nice and level, has a picnic table and a fire pit. There’s also a community fire pit. There’s even an enclosed dog park!!! We had limited cell reception with Verizon, but the Wi-Fi worked well enough for what we needed. I was even able to do some work on Friday. There’s a Dollar General located conveniently within walking distance, so we did most of our shopping there. My wife and I travel with our dogs, and prefer a more private camping experience. This campground is perfect for that, as there are only about 20 campsites and a dog park! We will certainly be staying at Lake Haven again, and have recommended to all our family and friends!
