Nestled in the East Tennessee mountains, this gently rolling land offers the perfect blend of open space and natural beauty. The property features a picturesque old barn full of rustic charm. Enjoy a delicious breakfast with fresh eggs from our own chicken coop. With easy access from the road, it’s ideal for travelers passing through, outdoor enthusiasts, or anyone simply wishing to enjoy the quiet countryside. We are close to NC ski resorts, Tweetsie Railroad, the Appalachian Trail, the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherokee National Forest, Doe Mountain Recreation Area, the Virginia Creeper Trail, Backbone Rock, and Watauga Lake. You can visit the Farmer's Market in town every Saturday from May to October, enjoy Mountain City's Fiddler's Convention 100th Anniversary (Oct. 3rd & 4th), or experience Shady Valley's Cranberry Festival (Oct. 10th & 11th). If cycling is your passion, there are several trails and parks nearby, most notably the Virginia Creeper Trail; others include the Roan Mountain Challenge, Watauga Lake Winery Loop, Tweetsie Trail Out & Back, Historic Jonesborough Out & Back, Tannery Knobs Mountain Bike Park, and Rocky Knob Mountain Bike Park in Boone, NC. History buffs will also find plenty to explore in Northeast Tennessee, such as Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park, Rocky Mount State Historic Park, and Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site. For water sports, head out kayaking on Watauga Lake or Boone Lake, or take a Watauga Kayak rafting tour.
