If you're seeking off grid camping and do not require any frills then this might be the spot for you. Chris was very responsive with the booking and provided supportive directions. If bathing in the river, 100 foot whispering pines, and camp fires by night rocks your world, then you might want to book a weekend. If you want to see the stars of the cosmos brilliantly without light pollution then your in for a treat. You better pack your mosquito spray though, those critters are vicious in the open fields. I never broke out the can at my campsite, it just was not required.

I had a very peaceful weekend at Hammock S'way. The private forest was very pretty and it was great having such a large space to myself. The creek was a very quick walk from my site and it was perfect to sit or wade around in on a hot day. Bonuses: the swing over the river and Chris' farm fresh eggs.

LOVED the camp site, and will be back! The trail down the hill to the campsite could use something tho...maybe a step or two, or at least a rope rail to hang on to. It gets wet and it gets SLICK! lol other than that I love the place!

Chris is an amazing host. Very informative and helpful. The campsite was very private and beautiful. The river is very calming and peaceful. For deep woods camping it is awesome. I will definitely be going back and already recommend to my friends.

The place is beautiful! Chris was super kind and come to receive us and guide us to the spot, he also offered us the most amazing eggs, Don’t bring any, you would not regret! Quiet, peaceful and very private. We were surrounded by pine trees and just a few steps from the river where we had fun like kids in the brisk water. And our puppos, oh they had an amazing time too! We all had the best time together, and were able to unplugged and connect with thee place and each other. This place is THE place, we’re definitely going to come back!
As an extra, the place is about 15 min to where you can get local organic produce. Veggies, milk, cheese, meat.

Chris is the most magnificent host! He went out of his way, so so so extra to make sure everything was delightful and superb. I’ll be back for certain! There are no words to describe how much I do recommend this place and the beauty is remarkable. The Magick there is palpable.
It’s peaceful and quiet and filled with joy. Definitely go there.

We went for 4th anniversary. It was wonderfully peaceful and freeing. The trip down to the river was a lovely walk and the river space itself was breathtaking.

Beautiful land with amazing views of the stars!
We enjoyed the short hike to the River, and the hike through Sway Forest.
We were driving a ‘92 Ford Econoline RV (26ft) and the terrain was challenging for us to navigate. Chris was communicative and provided moral support when we got stuck on our way in!

I loved how easy it was to book. Chris met me and helped direct me to my camping spot which was in the middle of a pine forest. Very private, clean, quiet. I'd go back there again!

River Camping
The flowing river advertised in the picture was stagnant water, the walk down to the campsite was way too steep to bring our 80lb tent down to. The firewood was a combination of pressure treated construction boards and strangely cut pieces of trees. The fire pit had trash in it.
We ended up grabbing the supplies we purchased and not staying at the site, driving nearly 2 hours back home. Not a good first Hipcamp experience, we would have been better off staying on public land for free.
The eggs were good though! The guy running the campground was also friendly over the phone.

Chris is very fast about communicating and the land is beautiful/peaceful. We stayed in one of the wooded areas and didn’t see another person the whole time. Would definitely recommend.
