Only one group is booked at a time, giving you true privacy. Shade is available throughout the day. 🌤️ Amenities • Fresh water spigot nearby (potable drinking water) • Porta-potty on site • Unplugged experience (no electric hookup) • No pets 🐻 The Experience This is a true nature setting where the rhythm of the day unfolds around you. Mornings begin with birds and calm water. Deer often move quietly along the tree line. Afternoons are peaceful and still. As evening settles in, the sounds shift—frogs, crickets, and the woods coming alive. Robert exemplifies "southern hospitality." He greeted me shortly upon my arrival, explained the basics, and even showed me how to adjust the security lights at night if they disturbed my sleep, which they didn't. Campers are welcome to walk the grounds, which are in a quiet rural setting (even though the sites are next to the road, the vehicles are few and far between; traffic noise did not bother me). All in all, Black Bear is a lovely spot with all necessary amenities (except a bathroom/shower) and is in perfectworking order. I'd return.

Robert was the perfect host. Kind, helpful and respectful. The property is absolutely stunning and we enjoyed a long beautiful walk around. Unfortunately no bears were spotted but we did see a deer, some rabbits and fab birds if prey soaring overhead.

What a beautiful location and easy to get to. The roads in are a bit bumpy, but once you get there it's an idyllic spot, for a night or for a week. The sites are level, well maintained gravel. And the utilities are brand new. But you can't beat the sunset views it your front door. Definitely worth a visit!

Perfect spot for a quick stay. Easy to pull in and leave from. Enjoyed the animal reserve and the host was very gracious and friendly. Would stay again! 😊

The sites were so level and with cover carport was excellent. It rained and you could leave mats and chair out without getting wet. Robert and Family were so nice, caring and helpful. Everything was close by Apple Orchard, Ocoee & Hiwassee River, Boat ramp to Lake Ocoee. Had a wonderful time and expect to return soon.
