Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
It is our pleasure to share our land with fellow campers, and spread our love for the outdoors. The Kagey Homestead is a 6.2 acre lot, secluded in the "Dark Corners" of Travelers Rest, SC. The Kagey Homestead is approximately a 25 minute drive from the relaxing, welcoming downtown of Travelers Rest. Travelers Rest offers a broad range of outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking, or simply enjoying a walk along the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Don't forget to stop by our favorite taproom, The Community Tap, located downtown Travelers Rest. Our property currently consist of 1 campsite along a gravel/dirt road. Enjoy seclusion within the rolling hills of South Carolina and take a gander at the wildlife. Deer, turkey, and black bear are frequent visitors to our property.The Garden of Eden is the perfect spot for a secluded stay within the mountains of Travelers Rest, SC. A prior goat pen transformed into a beautiful campsite. The campsite is private and located close to the entrance of The Kagey Homestead's 6.2 acre lot. There is room for 1 parked car across from the campsite. The campsite is pet friendly and off leash is allowed within the fenced in area. We provide a 12x12 foot tent platform to accommodate for many tent sizes. Our site is totally primitive, and we do not offer electric, water, or bathrooms. Enjoy the wildlife, but do not feed them. Our land is frequented by deer, turkey, and black bear. We recommend 4 wheel drive to get to the site. Make sure to pick up trash before going to sleep and leaving the site how it was before. You may have fires within the confines of the rock lined fire pit.
