Off the beaten path and well worth it! Beautiful property. Currie was super sweet. Very communicative both before and during our stay. We had the property to ourselves and that made it all the better. The kids very much enjoyed the weekend. We loved the pond and all the wildlife we saw. And the solitude was fantastic too! So peaceful! No road noise or anything other than nature! Great stargazing!

What a lovely farm. Our host was so kind, and their hospitality was great. We got the homemade bread and fresh sausage. It was sooo good and totally worth it. I loved staying on the little pond.
A few warnings: the ground is HARD HARD. The host conveyed it was clay dug out from the bottom of the pond. If you’re tent camping, bring something good stakes and something to hammer them in. We bent every single one of our stakes trying to get them in the ground. Also, if you’re looking for quiet and solitude, this place is not for you. The bathroom is right behind a cottage that’s also rented out. The two sites at the pond are across from each other and in listening and sight distance. Luckily we had the nicest people across the pond and enjoyed hanging out with them. Super nice people at the cottage too! It was a great weekend camping.

Everything about our stay here was fantastic! Mr. Bill and Currie were wonderful hosts. I loved hearing the stories and history of the farm. We stayed in our motorhome near the cottage which by the way is so cute and cozy!! I have already told my best friend she has to visit. I will definitely be back.

It was beautiful. It was serene. It was entertaining and peaceful at the same time. The wildlife, the farm friends and more...we stayed for six nights and have made a friend for life. Highly recommend a visit!

Our family of four had a lovely time at Stephens Branch Farm. We set up camp by the pond which was private and serene, with friendly ducks to greet us. Our kids had a blast horseback riding and our dogs loved meeting the friendliest farm dog Bubba. We took a day trip to Huntington Beach State Park which was an easy drive, dog friendly and not too crowded. Highly recommend camping at Stephens Branch Farm!

Stephens Branch Farm
We had a wonderful Easter staying at the farm. We brought our friends and our dogs and camped by the pond. We will definitely come back next time we are looking for a weekend getaway. The cottage is also very charming if you want to book it for some of its amenities.

Exactly as advertised. Rural pastureland and dense conifer/hardwood forests to roam in. Quiet, easy.

We ended up camping by the pond on Currie’s property and absolutely loved it. There was plenty of firewood and a small gas grill for us to use. The pond has 3 very friendly ducks and the property is gorgeous. We had coffee in the morning with Bill, who is an incredible artist and has traveled the world. We already want to go back!

We truly enjoyed our stay! Our host was very welcoming and accommodating. The property is full of charm, with cows, and horses.. and a very friendly dog who became my best buddy. ( if you don’t like dogs you can probably for him to leave you alone.. but he might truly steal your heart.)
We had our bikes with us and had a safe and pleasant bike ride nearby.
We would highly recommend this place for a peaceful stay in the countryside.

Very quiet and private. Loved the farm life of every day animal upkeep. And the bread and farm fresh eggs are amazing......AMAZING. Currie was super attentive and her dad was awesome. Lovely place to go if you like to be alone and enjoy true country living. Nothing like being in a state park with campers all around you. Absolutely loved when they fed the Brahma bulls. Plus the history, with the old farmhouse and cottage......definitely want to check this out if you enjoy that!

My husband and I feel genuinely thankful to have found this beautiful place. Currie and her father Bill, were thoughtful and generous hosts. We enjoyed a beautiful site by the pond which was perfect for our camping set up, flat and dry, with three sweet ducks to keep us company. We had access to the bathroom at the cottage at the front of the property, which was clean and had fresh cut flowers waiting for us. We greatly enjoyed our time speaking with Bill, who provided historical context to the land we were staying on. This was a really special stay and we can’t wait to return. Thank you so much Currie!

Stephens Branch Farm
This campsite is about 1.5 hours from Charleston. It is located in the city of Kingstree. It is a huge place and owner was kind to show us his place which included a pond, horse and cow farm. We parked our trailer next to a vacant house within the property with water and electrical hook up. We enjoy the owner’s hospitality and his historical perspective.
