Nestled in a secluded, quiet cove bordering the Jim Timmerman Resource area in Jocassee Gorge, the Reedy Cove Farmstead is the ideal place to get away from it all while still being able to access the incredible bounty of local outdoor activities. Bordering hundreds of acres of untouched wilderness, guests can enjoy endless hiking opportunities originating onsite with destinations offering stunning views and secret waterfalls.
Within 5-20 minutes guests can find themselves at any of the top natural destinations in the area like Twin Falls, Sassafras Mt, Caesar's Head, Lakes Keowee & Jocassee, Rosman, NC, The Hagood Mill Historic Site, Horse Pasture Rd. and so many more.
* Guests can also sign up for any of the classes offered onsite during their stay such as Foraging, Wild Mushroom ID, Wildcrafted Medicinal Tinctures, Outdoor Cooking, and Basics to Off-Grid living. Classes are available to groups or as private lessons offered to guests and can be included in the rental cost.
Reedy Cove Farmstead is relatively new so it is ever growing & changing. Work - trade is a possibility for those struggling financially.

Recently remodeled, it has a minimalist, open decor that gives it the feeling of being "bigger on the inside." With handcrafted Redwood Countertops, a small cook stove & a very comfortable memory foam bed. Outside enjoy a private lounge area or join us at the fire pit. Help yourself to the outdoor kitchen with stove, griddle, pizza oven, low country boil pot & small propane grill or utilize the outdoor wood fired BBQ. An artesian well runs constantly offering fresh, clean mountain spring water which flows into a small duck pond. There is a clean, non-smelly composting outhouse. Onsite there is hiking, foraging, rock climbing gem & artifact finding and within a short drive some of SC's most incredible State Parks & Natural Resources. If interested you'll have the opportunity to sign up for private classes with a certified naturalist, forager & backwoods chef or learn the basics of farmsteading and off grid living.
