Jandarra Farm offers a comfortable and peaceful camping experience on a working farm in the Gold Coast hinterland. Certified through Ecotourism Australia, Jandarra’s goal is to model and inspire responsible ecological stewardship and foster harmony and creativity to build a regenerative and abundant future. Jandarra means 'place of peace' and we honour this by having a maximum of 6 campers at a time. Guests can visit the rockpool, take a self-guided walk through the rainforest, book a sauna (see Extras), and enjoy a conversation around the campfire under the stars (BYO firewood or see Extras). Take a short, hot shower with a view of the hills, toilets and a camp kitchen (no microwave or fridge) inside a rustic barn with tables and chairs. Starlink is the newest additon to the farm though may not have coverage in the camping areas. Telstra has some coverage. The 135-acre farm in Tallebudgera Valley is home to cattle, chickens, worm farms and bee hives, plus local wildlife. Guests are invited to learn about regenerative agricultural practices such as how Jandarra is managing cattle to build soil biology and rebalance nature, using holistic management practices - moving the cattle every day using electric fences (to replace the predators) and small paddocks (26 of them actually). As food security and clean food becomes more important than ever before, we can contribute in a small way to improving the quality of your soil to grow vegetables by providing short introductory sessions on worms and manure for your gardens. See Extras for more information. EXTRAS - We offer a range of Jandarra Experiences including: - Pop-up trailer, BYO linen (fully set up on arrival, sans linen) - Infrared sauna (See Extras - $30 for 30 mins for one or two guests. Turned on at agreed times by host and guests) - Cold plunge pool (See Extras - $12.50 for dip, single use) - Firewood from farm $15 per crate - Jandarra organic eggs - Learn about the wonder of worms + optional worm farm starter kit to take home (subject to availability) ECOTOURISM CERTIFIED CAMPING Jandarra is one of two Hipcamp sites to be certified through Ecotourism Australia. This certification assures travellers that they are booking high-quality eco experiences. Our goal is to model and inspire responsible ecological stewardship and foster harmony and creativity to build a regenerative and abundant future. There are many places to wander, sit and listen. Over 90 bird species have been listed here. Jandarra is a registered Land for Wildlife property and we ask all guests to be mindful of wildlife and farm animals when moving around the property. SUSTAINABILITY The caretaker of this property co-founded "Boomerang Bags", a not-for-profit organisation raising awareness of plastic pollution through community engagement. There are over 1200 communities globally diverting material from landfill and creating habits of reuse rather than single-use. Therefore, drumroll...please bring reusable rather than single-use (eg beeswax wraps instead of cling wrap, real containers rather than takeaway) and take home any rubbish (you won't find any bins except for the food scraps). ABOUT REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE Jandarra is the 40th property in Australia to undertake the Ecological Outcome Verification (EOV) Process through the Savory Institute. EOV was developed in collaboration with leading soil scientists, ecologists, agronomists and an extensive network of regenerative land managers around the world. EOV is a practical and scalable soil and landscape assessment methodology that tracks outcomes in biodiversity, soil health, and ecosystem function (water cycle, mineral cycle, energy flow and community dynamics). Jandarra has 10 Short term monitoring sites plus one long-term monitoring site. By recognising both land regeneration targets and trends, EOV endorsement is bestowed as long as land health moves in a net positive direction with the third year monitoring event in April 2023 confirming the positive trend. We believe EOV gives the land a voice and through this process, provides us with feedback to make better management decisions. We welcome a conversation and to share more information when you visit. THINGS TO DO NEARBY - Walk the Ocean Track at Burleigh Heads National Park and cool off at Echo Beach - 3 km walk, swim and picnic at the scenic Gorge Falls (end of Tallebudgera Valley) - Stock up on supplies at the organic food pantry and organic sourdough bakery in Burleigh - Dine at cafes and restaurants such as Parlour (the closest decent coffee), Wazen Japanese and JFK Italian, less than 15 minutes drive from Jandarra. *No smoking or vaping on the property, please. *If you have a larger group wanting visit, please contact us directly.

Camping with a rock pool!
We loved it at Tania's Jandarra Farm. It was peaceful and private. There was a short walk to the rock pools. There is a nice hall with a kitchen and also very clean bathroom and toilets. Just enough amenities for convenience, but we still had the camping experience. The ground was fairly flat and easy to pitch the tent. We had a great time around the fire place.

Weekend break - Must try.
We spent 2 nights here with friends and had a nice peaceful break. Tania was available if we needed her, but other than that, we were on our own. The place is beautiful and green and the facilities were clean and sufficient for a very nice country size experience.

My family and I had a great time at Jandarra. The place is gorgeous and well maintained. Kitchen had pretty much everything we needed and hot water was a treat to wash the dishes on a cold night. Check out the water hole is a must, so beautiful. Looking forward to go back on warmer days so we can also enjoy the water hole. Thank you Tania for sharing this special place.

We had a wonderful time here. Tania has a beautiful property. The rock pools are well worth the short walk, and we both enjoyed the cold plunge/IR sauna too.
